.
As far as my family? I can only trace that as far back as my great grandmother, on both sides. Im sure I am a little mix if everything. My mom would tell me growing up that my great grandmother would say we were part Greek. Who knows. I notice Latins tend to exaggerate when it comes to our roots.
I agree since if you think about it families from spain and the rest of europe have been coming to the americas since early 1600'sthats almost 400 years guys. THink about it there is a new generation every 16-20 years thats new generations a year, and that makes it 20-24 generations of splitting genes. I think rather than think we are pure europeans its safe to say we have created a little sub-race. It's funny I can tell a Salvadoran by looking at his face, it seems to me that most 80% Salvadorans may be related in some way. Taking a country of under 100,000 people, and multiplying them to 7 million people people will do that. I think maybe Lebanese, and Palestians that came in the early 1900's and late 1800's might be excluded from that.

Damn what is up with wanting to be European?
I think I'm pipil like 80%, 5% Spaniard, 5% black, and 10% Portuguese cuz of my last name.
I have an uncle who is a juez and his last name is also Zepeda.

the image of a gitana that we have in el salvador and most latin countries is a white girl with a big butt exotic dancer, and thats more like an arab girl.
shakira is the best example of it,shakira is lebanese.
she is sexy as hell.
another thing we were talking with my brother.
in el salvador, jew bible names are very common, at least in san miguel. you find many many people whos names are isaiah, moises, misael, isael, israel, and abraham.
haha just interesting.
bible names are related to all christan societies, unlike what you said earlier about Jhosse Llora, I dont think there is any influence of even spanish Gypsies. You know the stronger spanish families that came to conquer land, and came with deep military & catholic influence, and would of killed off any Gypsy people here. Besides the Gypsies stayed in Spain because are simple day to day poeple, and being able to organize themselves to ship to the americas.
The image of big asses shaking around is all relative to perception of all middle eastern people. Belly dancing is commom from Egypt to Afghanistan, and like I said before those middle easterns would of came early 1900's late 1800's.

Hey bro how do you know its 80% pipil, how about mayan. There still alot of Mayan Blood witthin our ethnic race. what up with the 5% black, is that the girls are telling you?..LOL. and people want to be europeans because they are better looking thats all.

Better looking? I know I'm good looking and so are my brothers and we don't look European. No my mom tells me her great grandpa was a black man from San Vicente. And most Mayans are closer to Guatemala I think.

hahaha, why would you want to know my family names any way?
the perception of "europeans are better looking is wrong." im living in south carolina right now where about 90% of the population is white anglo and some of this mothers... are ugly as fu...
that being said.
bc we have more european influence is that we believe "europeans are better looking."
if you have a country like colombia or brazil where many people are mixed with black then, they believe "mulatas" are really good looking.
is about mayorities, and in some cases about who has more money.
in los angeles, jews are a minority, but you see some of those mamis from ucla driving mercedes.... haha super hot, and they are physically hot, nice skin colore, their bodies are banging only their nose is kind of big but thats all.
in el salvador, most europeans or arabs have money so they seen very atractive and good looking, although i've met some of them and their women and some of them have ugly faces, big eyebrows, big noses, hairy hands...
absolutey nothing wrong with having pride on having european blood, its been said before, and there is also nothing wrong with having pipil or lenca pride.
as i have read, the big tribes in el salvador were those, pipil and lenca, and they were all parts of the mayan empire from guatemala, kind like spain, hispania was a province of the roman empire, so is the same thing with the tribes in el salvador, the big capital and all the important people were in guatemala were they had their big temples and everything.
good stuff, keep going.

But Europeans are the minority in El Salvador. So I guess that in El Salvador they are more beautiful because they are a lot rarer?

When did i say i had an "important family"? A question was asked and i answered it. Yeah i didn't give specifics but what does that matter? It's not like we are judging who has the more "famous" relatives. Again, it was a simple question that IMO, deserved a simple answer. If other people want to be explain in depth who there relatives are then fine, that's there choice. Does it mean i have to do the same? No.

I'm considering merging this with the "El Salvador as a multicultural nation thread" as it covers almost the exact same topic. Thoughts?

no, you dont have to to go in detail, and no, this is not a constest either. I just think its amusing how private some people are, specially on these post where only certain people post, we all practically know each other.

im not trying to be European or anything but i know for a fact a big majority of my blood is Spanish. great grandpa on my moms side was a Spanish immigrant but he married a dark skinned woman so my grandpa looked kinda mulatto. i have cousins with blue eyes i also had a cousin that had a black mamba afro. I dont think what we have is a race but a culture because all of us are mixed someway or another

Im not trying to be rude but if only your great grandpa is fully Spanish then that is only 1/8 which is 12.5% I would hardly call that a majority in your blood, then that would make the majority of my blood Portuguese, which is not that the case.

Actually your fathers gene is always the most prominant gene, and yes it is very complicated, but you can take a DNA test , it will definately narrow it down for 89 bucks, it's agreat invesment .
