I hope this group's matches are televized in the US--would Univision have them?
This group is going to be a four-way knife fight in a phone booth.
Everyone will take points off of everyone else.
I can't see any team sweeping another.
For Canada, it all comes down to the willingness of their top Euro guys (Radzinski, Stalteri) to participate--to make the games in Mazatenango and San Pedro Sula as well as in Toronto and Edmonton. Otherwise, toast, even with Yallop.
Mexico and the US caught a break--not only because they don't have to play through a group of death like this, but because they are assured of having a weak T&T side in the Hex. I think any of these team would be stronger than T&T.Trinidad and Tobago slightly impresses. Both matches against Team U.S.A in Qualifacation 01'. It shocks for rememberer. To-do was high on opposition. Player shots 35 yarder into goal for Trinidad and Tobago. I told father "That was world class." Question only exists "Was scorer a tobagonian or trinidadian?"
Honduras was a surprise. I thought from a standpoint. Mexico dooms but Mexico pulls out, no thanks to Trinidad and Tobago. Honduras looks for equailty amongst Federation.
Canada lastly shadows in Team U.S.A. Canada plays with everyone. Country toughly finds U.S.A. Canada played Brazil, Austrillia, South Korea ect... Matches earned points. I could be mistaken on some but Brazil was defined.

And now that the problem with the BPFL has been sorted out, you can be assured that we will give Canada a terrific game. Be careful.. who laughs last, laughs better ... remember. :p
Hey Belizean. What's the latest on the BPFL/national team situation? Last I heard in Amandala, the BPFL players voluntarily withdrew last week from the national team training sessions in Belmopan after threat of sanctions from their teams. If the top BPFL players are indeed coming for the two game series against Canada, then I do expect a two competitive matches. I'm a little less concerned since we will play at home twice and I obviously believe we have the skill to handle Belize. But Belize's international results are solid and I expect a skillful, fast team who is very familiar with each other to come to Kingston.
Welcome to the board and any updates you can give about the state of the BPFL/FFB and the Sports Council would be appreciated.
cheers,

Belizean, what's the latest on that situation? The most recent report said that the dispute was still going on, and that Belize league players were refusing to attend national team workouts.

im a firm Guatemalan supporter, I think this team is not very deep, but they have a chance to impress some people..maybe not go up to Germany, but its better to take it step by step and see where it goes, I would rather have it like that, than to see them get a 11-0 spanking by a more experience team at the WC, Ruiz and Pezza give us hope

A group of players were organizing a solidarity march for Saturday May 15. Because of this and pressure from many other teams and the general public, the Prime Minister called a meeting between the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), the Belize Premier Football League (BPFL) and the Ministry of Sports and the Sports Council. At the meeting everyone agreed that it was in the best interest of Belize football that the matters be resolved. The BPFL accepted the terms of the FFB and are oncee more officialy affiliated with the FFB. All players have been given the go ahead that if called for the selection they should attend. In fact, even though the Amandala report of a week ago mentioned that the players were leaving, several of them responded to the BPFL that they prefer to be sanctioned by them and not continue their participation in their current league but that they will put Belize first and will play for the national team.

Well I'll echo the thanks, but I'm not sure it's such good news, well not for Canada at least. Any thoughts on who's going to be involved in the Belize side then? I have a tough time getting a gauge on player's ages especially since it's been so long since Belize has played a full international.
Is Bent Burgess too old? the Muchamps? I figure Christopher Hendericks, Shane Moody (or Charlie Slusher?), Vallan Symms, Kello Leslie,Tilliman Nunez, Dion Frazer and Raul Celiz seem to be the cream of the crop based on what I've read, but of course I've never actually seen them play.
