You're single, right? Well, multiply that 600 by a family of four. Gets a bit more expensive, doesn't it? I'm sure I'll get there eventually though.
Exactly why have not been back recently. Last year ran airfar in Jan and it was 5k just to get there. Did the math and could do Disney for two weeks (food included) plus tons of booze for same price. so Disney won out.

This summer flights were 1200 EACH!!!!

Shit, December right now is 900/each!!!!!

LB, I'd also like a PM with the recipe as well if you don't mind. Or, heck, just post it here.
Sure, what recipe you want?

Dave - Really, it is not as bad as you think. Airfare ($600)
Can kiss $600 fares goodbye. Major carriers are $800+ right now. I am looking for December now and cannot find anything on Lufthansa for less than $910 each. That's $3500 before I have had a single bier. Granted, once there I can live off the local economy and do not need a hotel, but still.

Oh, did I mention I found out today that the coil on my AC unit went out? $1800 to fix. Add that to the 2k I spent on a compressor LAST summer and the $650 for the blower motor. Well, at least I know THAT unit has no old moving parts in it anymore...I've REPLACED them all!!!!!!!

Never used them, but might be worth checking

I always get my fares through Kayak.com. Charlotte to Munich for $654 in late October, after the Wies'n. Fares are not THAT bad. And I have flown Lufthansa recently... the ONLY way to fly to Munich, IMHO.

Dang Paderborn is dragging their heals in putting the tickets on sale, but at least they have a good online ticketing service where you can choose specific seats from a stadium graphic.

Informationen zum Vorverkauf für das Spiel wird der SCP in Kürze bekanntgeben.

Two non-team related things:

Martin Max was at training yesterday in a "drop by" to see some players. His son is on trial at the Bayern U-16 team and he came over to see some friends.
Stefan Reuter's 6 year-old son is at an 1860 youth camp this summer and he stopped by. Now THAT'S class....fired from a group of morons and he STILL uses their camp rather than the Bayern or other programs around town.

No, it is not the name of some unspeakable disease. It is more likely the name of yet another little-known player that 1860 might bring on. He is a Congolese national player in the French 3rd division. Rumor is a 3 year contract is on the table. Hmmmm, 3 years for an unknown 24 year-old striker with a name like a deadly disease?

Well, I laughed at Drogba a few years back too. Let's hope he is as prolific.

This is a great site to use.

I got round trip tickets from Cleveland to LA a few years ago for $150 bucks each through there. That was insanely low at the time.

If you're planning a trip it's worth while to go their daily, maybe even more often. The deal that I caught was a fire sale, I went back two hours later and it was gone. It was probably only available for an hour or two. But in general they've got lower prices, even on int'l flights.

Well, like I said, you need to check it often. International fares don't come up that often on there. It's mostly a US site.

But take a look at these international prices, you have to scroll down a bit:
http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/FareSearchResults/tabid/76/AirportId/1/DEP/JFK/Default.aspx

I'd imagine that London fare is a really good deal, right? I'm sure the others are as well.

I thought everything here was "non-team related" these days!

I thought this turned into the München Travel Thread! LOL!! :D

And don't forget, Reuter did play for Bayern early in his career too.

Fly to Paris/London and then BerlinAir to Munich - probably not too bad at all.

Hey, that's team related, considering that most of us posting here will have to get on a plane to actually see a match!

;)

That's why I posted, cause I figured it would be helpful.

I have to tell you, it was AMAZING in the Allianz Arena for the 1860 match I saw... I would have killed to see them play at Gruenwalderstr. though.

Well, since we don't rate enough to get our own Forum, we have to multi-task on the thread.

Any posting of anything beer, food, footy or chick related works just fine for me.;)

And they're Bavarian! Somebody photoshop a football and some leberkaese in there and we're set. ;)

Tons more photos here: http://www.linkinn.com/_Sexy_Girls_on_Oktoberfest_in_Munich_Bavaria_at_the_Wiesn

And there's no nudity, so, mostly SFW.

Well, seems Biero has more of an injury than once realized. He seems to be in and out of doctor offices since his injury in Feb and still has pain. He is not being allowed to travel for pre-camp on Monday, opting instead to stay in Muenchen to work privately. Where have we seen these telltale signs before? Schroth, Cerny, Tyce, Agostino, DiSalvo, Goektan, Benny Schwarz, Shao, Suker, Saarinen, Borimirov, da Silva and others are just a few of the players we have splashed out money for an only gotten a few games out of them before their going on/off the disabled list more frequently than Paris Hilton changes sex partners.

Why-o-why can we not ascertain if someone is fit enough to play our a full season in July and not April the following year?:confused:

Here (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/alle-tore-in-zwei-minuten.html) is the friendly against TSV Allach in NW Muenchen. Some decent goals scored and all from new players for the most part. If you want to watch the whole match you can watch the four parts here (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/80-gegen-den-kreisligisten-tsv-allach-14.html), here (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/80-gegen-den-kreisligisten-tsv-allach-24.html), here (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/80-gegen-den-kreisligisten-tsv-allach-34.html) and here (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/80-gegen-den-kreisligisten-tsv-allach-44.html).
Fan reaction (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/comeback-von-berkant-goektan.html) on the possible comeback of Berki. Essentially they all say he should be allowed to come back. I am all for second chances, but I wonder if Goektan sucked ass if they would feel the same way?

Dude #1: 1860 tried to help him get back on the right path. If he is off of drugs then 1860 can help him again and I would take him.
Dude #2: He was a fan favorite and betrayed that loyalty. It lies with him if he is truly "clean" and if he can live up to his expectatations.
Dude #3: Yes he should play, but not hold his hand.
Dude #4: I think he should be given another chance, but there is a risk. If he is not "clean" and he plays in key games and later test positive, it could cost 1860 points which could cost us promotion or even relegation.

Lienen (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/ewald-lienen-ueber-den-neuen.html) on the new players.
One of the Three Stooges (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/franz-maget-und-die-saison-0910.html) in management talks about the 09/10 season. Basically this moron is talking about how in season's past we have always talked about the hope of the new season and yet alwasy fallen short. However THIS season will be different (insert heavy sarcasm here) because mgmt has brought in "experienced" players.

Note to Herr Dumbass: By my count we have lost more experience than we are bringing in. At best case it is a wash.

We have lost this season the following "experienced" players: Thorandt, Hofmann, Bender, Schwarz and Schick, Ledgerwood and Schroth (7).
We have brought on the following "experienced" players: Pappas, Kiraly, Felhi and Ludwig (4).

More on Ignjovski (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/serbisches-riesen-talent-fuer-60.html). They keep saying he was being chased by other "top clubs". I cannot fathom 1860, with all of our millions  beat out sooooo many other top clubs to sign this 18 year-old. What crap.
