Oh, and Euro 39,95 is more like $56.00 American right now, not including any fees your credit card might levy. I am thinking about it...

It is FAR better than Grolsch! I will say, perhaps the best Hacker-Pschorr I ever had in my life was in the Sechzig 'stuberl at Gruenwaldstrasse. That with the Schinken Semmel? :D

Just sayin'...

Scored a bunch of bier at the Beer Exchange in Charleston this weekend and brought home with me. Going to tap into an Animator this evening. After the Pina Coladas that is.

I wish I had the money for a Bavarian vacation.

Maybe I can talk the wife out of the trip to visit her family in California and go to Munich instead.

Just go to Wisconsin and wear headphones that translate everythinginto Bayrisch.

I did not think Animator was available in the States. I am guessing I will have to make a trip to Charleston Beer Exchange then. Still, this is Weissbier or Helles season...

Dave - Really, it is not as bad as you think. Airfare ($600), I stayed in a friend's flat, but would have spent 50 Euro/night to stay in downtown Munich, and then just eating and drinking. It is not as cheap as a trip to the local beach, but SO MUCH BETTER.

Some of these pictures were really shaky... But I drank a boat-load of Bier this trip...

You're single, right? Well, multiply that 600 by a family of four. Gets a bit more expensive, doesn't it? I'm sure I'll get there eventually though.

As for lodging, well, I'm sure I can stay at Loewenboy's place. ;) Or at least sleep in his back yard.

LB, I'd also like a PM with the recipe as well if you don't mind. Or, heck, just post it here.

First, nope. Happily married. Although I will say, the two times I have been over, I have been sent on my own, so...

Now I got damn Leberkasse on the brain!
