That's a bit of misinformation - the new sponsor is DCS, a partner of Xerox. But I do think Xerox would look much better on the kits.
Maybe Lauth can Xerox a copy of himself from 2002... :D

LB from the Mojito have of Kiawah Island, SC....
Yanyali also said he thinks the way Kurz handled the Göktan issue was disgraceful. Yanyali says that Göktan saved Kurz's head with his goals and assists and then Kurz turned around and said, "What has Göktan done for 1860?"
What utter BS!!!! Kurz NEVER said anything of the sort. Goektan was given the chance to go into a rehab like program after popping positive for cocaine. Reuter AND Kurz tried to help him but HE did not want it. They had no choice under the terms of his contract but to fire him. It was in his contract from his former problems.
I'm not a big Stevic guy. You guys know this. I think this guy Yanyali is talking more as a friend of Göktan than anything.
Ya think?
However, what Yanyali said about Kurz's comment is dead on.........
I am inclined to agree there.
What he THINKS Kurz said is BULLSHIT. I read every damn article on this issue from Germany and Kurz never made that comment directed at Goektan during that phase. He may have said it AFTER the incident and AFTER he was fired, but not during.
Out: Nikola Gulan (loan ended)
Markus Thorandt (FC St. Pauli)
Julian Baumgartlinger (Austria Wien)
Michael Schick (FC Augsburg)
Nicolas Ledgerwood (FSV Frankfurt)
Christoph Burkhard (SV Wacker Burghausen)
Danny Schwarz (unsigned)
Markus Schroth (retired)
Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund)
Seems Miss Pourie has been sent VERY QUIETLY back to Schalke. No word on the website as to why but my guess is Lienen did not think much of the punk either.
I was trying to figure out if the team was going to be better or worse this year. I think there are some decent young talents lost but the team may be better this year.
Worse.:(

Garry, the people I asked about this say Kurz did make that comment. I didn't ask when he made it, but if he made it. One guy claims to have heard it, so I'm guessing it wasn't said in an interview.
Maybe the guy is lying, but I trust the source.
And I think with what Göktan did do for the club before the problems surfaced, those words had no business EVER parting the lips of Marco Kurz no matter when he might have said it.
I haven't forgotten how excited this thread and Sechzig fans as a whole were when Göktan was playing well.
I think he did save their asses. How quickly some (not meaning you Garry) forget.........

She'll never make it at Scheisse under Magath.

I don't know about that. I think you tend to overrate some of those kids.
We'll see this season.
Horrid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess we don't have the same taste in shirts or women. Just the important things like beer and sports! LOL!!! :D

According to the "Bild" article at this link (http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/wolfsburg/2009/07/01/trainer-armin-veh/jagt-europameister-fabian-johnson-von-1860-muenchen.html), Wolfsburg's coach/general manager Armin Veh says he offered 1860 900,000 Euros for Fabian Johnson and called it a "fair offer".
This MF has to be CRAZY if he thinks that's a "fair offer!"
He also reportedly says it is their last offer.
If so, this tells me that Fabian Johnson will be an 1860 player again this coming season.
I don't rate Johnson as highly as some others do, but 0.9M is a f#cking joke. A slap in the f#cking face!
But it also tells me the demand for Johnson seems to not be as high as some in the media and fans think it is. :o

I like the home ones a lot. The away ones not so much (dark green and black?). I like not having the sponsor on for now. Can you buy them without the DCS/Xerox logo for now?

I do recall him making a similar comment but it was AFTER Goektan had left the team. He never made the comment during his time with the team. He was asked about Goektan during his injury time last fall and Kurz retorted something to the effect of "he has contributed nothing to the team so far this year and we need to move on for now."
According to the "Bild" article at this link (http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/wolfsburg/2009/07/01/trainer-armin-veh/jagt-europameister-fabian-johnson-von-1860-muenchen.html), Wolfsburg's coach/general manager Armin Veh says he offered 1860 900,000 Euros for Fabian Johnson and called it a "fair offer".

Given that Baumgartlinger went for nearly 400k, twice that for a kid who is a rising star in German footy is ludacris. And Veh knows it, he's just trying (very badly) to be cheeky. Hell, Traesch was worth AT LEAST that when he went. No, 1860 will not be selling him for under 1.3m is what I hear.
Now, where is my mojito?

Collar irks me too. The away kit is ok. Damn sight better than green/gold. Green/black are also club colors, so not too shabby.

Absolutely NOT. I am a Philly guy, born and raised. Eagles, Sixers, Phillies.
My dad (RIP) was stationed out in San Diego for the military, and he was a HUGE Chargers fan, so there is a bit of a soft spot in my heart for them. Other than that, Philly and 1860.
Seems fitting in an ironic sense, no? LOL
