No time for a detailed translation so here are the highlights from this article (http://www.abendzeitung.de/sport/tsv_1860/114610). GoogleTranslator can help the German-impaired...

Striker Charilaos Pappas (http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/spieler/18938/charilaos-pappas/transferdaten.html) signed a one year deal with 1860 with an option for a second. Not sure why just a one year deal for someone who is supposed to be so good. He was a free transfer. One thing bothers me, take a look at how many clubs this dude has played for in 6 years...nearly a change a year!!! Yes, he seems to have been loaned out, but STILL!!!!!
Paul Thomik is being courted as a replacement for Fabian Johnson. I am hearing that a deal for Johnson will be done before July 5th so he can get into pre-camp with his new team. Word is it will more than likely be Vfl.
Stevic was in south america looking a Ecuadorian striker and national team member Pablo Palacios. Evidently this guys is super fast. Was scouted on contract by a stringer many BL clubs use. Am going to contact a friend of mine who does SA scouting to see if he knows him. Will post anything I find out.

ROFL.....

Actually, my cousin who works at 1860 said he used to check out the various fan boards from time to time and would laugh at the things people would say/write about him. Like you said, he is a professional and knows that people have their opinions, no matter how true or misplaced they may be. Heck, that's a tough job being in the limelight all the time and having EVERY aspect of your work judged. It reminds me of the comic who would treat "hecklers" in the audience by saying, "How would you like it if I can to YOUR office and said bad things about YOU!!!":D THAT would be funny. Perhaps GB will photoshop me goofing off at work.

Since I was a little girl I went with my dad to Sparta and before and after matches we always went to the player's home (not sure what the English word is, but it's the room in the stadium the players go to after matches and where their family and friends are). That's how I chatted often with him and his wife. As I've been there now 20 years, I've seen the two faced people that spoke very bad about players, while praising them when they were in front of them. I hate that.

Funny to hear he checks the board.
Also funny to hear what you say about you at your work. Over here in the Netherlands comments and attacking players seem to get worse and worse. At Sparta they boo sometimes at the 2nd mistake (even young players). As if those people would like somebody standing at their desk the whole day and commenting about everything they do....

Don't forget to post the photoshop picture you will receive from Gregg! ;)

Seems 1860 is looking to bring over Tunesian player Radhouane Felhi (25). He is the captain of Tunesian club Etoile Sportive du Sahel and a national team player. He is a defensive all-rounder....which means likely a candidate for central mid.

If we get him let's hope he plays like Sammy Kuffour.:D

Etiole du Sahel is no joke. I saw them play in the Club World Cup. I'm not sure if he was with them then. But if he's the captain of the team that's been the best in Africa multiple times I'm sure he'll be a big help for sechzig.

Damn, you have a good memory of me not liking Gregg.:D

Who could forget? I think "not liking" is a bit of an understatement. You were like a woman left at the altar. Hell hath no fury like LoewenBoy scorned! It was like watching slash and burn deforestation in the Amazon rain forest.

Damn, that WAS lame. How silly. Who the F cares about his "pre game ritual?" Did you think the man slaughtered chickens or something???

Would like to see him there...should be fun.

Gregg what is your pregame ritual?

GB: I like to wake up and sex my wife before breakfast, then for breakfast I watch yesterday's Oprah episode while eating a stack of pancakes. I then lick the dog's bollocks for three licks, then kill a chicken and then grill it, feathers and all, douse it with bbq sauce and drink a beer - when that's done I head to the stadium.

Since traffic is bad for weekday games, I usually stop along the way at a burrito stand and grab two burritos, one cheese, one beef - then I stand around trying to catch a fly on my tongue for 20 minutes, then back on the highway.

Get to the locker room and walk around in women's lingerie for 15 minutes, first barefoot then with high heals and a wig.

About 40 minutes before the game starts, I get dressed and I'm ready to play.

Agh, who am I kidding, Landon Donovan?

;)

Transfermarkt says the Felhi loan deal is done. He'll wear Gregg's old number "5".

Probably... I was likely blinded by all the GB stuff that my connection to the reality with which we are left became disjointed.

Check out the bottom part of this AZ interview (http://www.abendzeitung.de/sport/tsv_1860/112399) with former 1860 player Timur Yanyali.

Yanyali thinks Stevic is the kind of guy would like to help Göktan and Yanyali claims that Stevic said to him it is a shame that 1860 doesn't have a player like Göktan on the roster.

Yanyali also said he thinks the way Kurz handled the Göktan issue was disgraceful.

Yanyali says that Göktan saved Kurz's head with his goals and assists and then Kurz turned around and said, "What has Göktan done for 1860?"

I'm not a big Stevic guy. You guys know this. I think this guy Yanyali is talking more as a friend of Göktan than anything.

However, what Yanyali said about Kurz's comment is dead on.........

Yes, it is, but one I still expect 1860 to win.

And Bayern gets... Neckarelz???

Luck of the draw.

You can bet ARD & ZDF wanted Bayern to get someone like Sechzig or Unterhaching.

On the other hand, Sven Bender, pictured below in the new training kit of his new team, will return to Bayern to face SpVgg Weiden in the first round of the DFB Pokal...... :D

Hello wound, let me introduce you to a little salt :p

LOL!! I didn't mean it that way. Last year, I sent photos to our e-mail list of Petric's first day at HSV too.

So I'm a bit insensitive.

Besides, they got a pretty good f#ckin' player in the deal too. This is a deal in which both clubs won. :)

If you want, post photos of Rukavina at 1860's training on the BVB sub-forum. No one will care.

First picture looks like he misses his brother.

He does look a bit scared. But then again, he was only used to 15-25,000 showing up at his home matches on average at 1860. I guess he was shocked that 12,000 turned up for the first training session in Dortmund! LOL!!

BTW, next season, his brother will be less than an hour away. If they want, they can share a house somewhere between the two cities! :D

This article talks about the changed priorities at 1860. http://www.bundesliga.de/en/liga2/news/2008/index.php?f=129073.php&fla=4

So I decided to see if the new team was likely better than last year by looking at the comings and goings (I tried to do a decent list but I am sure I missed something).

In: Antonio Rukavina (Borussia Dortmund)
Gabor Kiraly (Burnley)
Alexander Ludwig (FC St. Pauli)
Charilaos Pappas (Skoda Xanthi)
Radhouane Felhi (loan)

Out: Nikola Gulan (loan ended)
Markus Thorandt (FC St. Pauli)
Julian Baumgartlinger (Austria Wien)
Michael Schick (FC Augsburg)
Nicolas Ledgerwood (FSV Frankfurt)
Christoph Burkhard (SV Wacker Burghausen)
Danny Schwarz (unsigned)
Markus Schroth (retired)
Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund)

I was trying to figure out if the team was going to be better or worse this year. I think there are some decent young talents lost but the team may be better this year.

I am sure there are more changes to come. People here have been talking about Johnson as gone (which will disappoint me a lot) and Pourie looked like he was gone (but Schalke did not want him back?).
