As for starting him, I somewhat hope they don't. I hope they put him in the last 45. That sends a nice signal to everyone that he is not a Messiah and that Lienen trusts him enough to let him play cold. However, if we are losing, then chuck Roesler and put KC in. :D

Agreed. There is NO reason to heap all that pressure onto KC either. Let him come in, get acclimated, and work through it. I think it will be a lot of fun watching him develop.

Well, even Lienen and Stevic have been quoted as saying skills-wise he should fit right in, but as you and I know the Germans have a TOTALLY different idea of "fitness" than MLS. Remember Donovan's comments after his training at Bayern? As fit as he is even *HE* acknowledged that the German training style nearly kicked his ass. :D

I hope 1860 has a huge 2nd half lead and then puts him in.

And of course, he builds on the lead. ;)

Well, if you believe morons like Greg Lalas it's a bad move. I replied to the post here (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=18409909&postcount=202), but you can get to the link in the article in quote. How people like that get paid...and good money I'll bet...to write fiction is beyond me.

Keith, a warning, the explicit use of very, very wrong facts and EXTREME lack of knowledge of anything football related might get your blood pressure up. :D

I hate American soccer opinion for the most part. If he scored 12 goals for Bristol City I would have less regard then if he did for 1860 - because the Coke league is much, much lower tactically than the 2b. I'm sure Lalas is an EPL buttlicker, but that's just my guess.

Hahaha I was in the middle of sending of a polite, scathing note to mr lalas regarding his ability to get things 'turned around' the wrong way. I came over to this thread to verify the name of Kenny's agent (Ken S.....?) to include in the note. Irresponsible journalism gets my blood pressure up.

Kon Schramm did the deal. His US based agent is Lyle "Lucky Spoon" Yorks.

Eddie, the fact that the guy compared KC's situation (or prospects for that matter) with Matt Taylor was laughable. Shiite, even my wife (who knows next to squat about footie) said, "Isn't he the American that you were on about who was being over-hyped because he scored 3 goals in a game, blah, blah, blah...and now they are comparing him to a kid who scored liek a ton of goals in MLS and not just tried out for a team?"

Hey, I just noticed something...Lalas and my wife have somethng in common: They both possess about the same knowledge of football. Shiite, I should ring SI to get her a job as a stringer.:cool:

Yeah, that was pretty funny to me, but you covered it already, so I didn't add to it.

That is good stuff. Way to stick to the league. I'm sick of MLS at this point.

I hope Holden gets out of MLS this season, and then Rogers follows.

I just don't read the shit. How some people have jobs in the US "game" and how some people are paid "journalists" has always been beyond me.

Just keep your regular sources. Hell, I see more of 1860 live (in the stadium) than BVB live anyhow.......

Yeah I know. There is some guy on the YA Kenny thread arguing that MLS has the right to keep the 10% player fee normally paid to players during a transfer but ManU had no right to ASK for certain monies when they were SELLING Cooper years ago. Thankfully, 1860 increased the personal terms of the contract to account for this.....and you guys KNOW we do not have the $$$ to splash around, so I am sure Kenny Sr. appreciated that.

I am trying to figure out exactly when the US mindset became a welfare mentality?

"Ugly Americans" personified.
Ugly Europeans too....as soon as I posted in the German forum that fight and heart were trademarks of the US playing style, some effete Eurosnob had to make an "all Americans like war" comment. The mods quickly put this moron down. One guy (a Bavarian I know) wrote: "Perhaps you would like Hitler back?":p:cool:

LOL

I think the Eurosnob meant "All Americans are selfish". That sums it up a bit better.

Here (http://www.merkur-online.de/sport/tsv-1860/meta-texas-bodden-bilder-vom-ersten-training-431434.html?cmp=defrss) are the first pics of him in training. Click on the link and then on the photo string. for non-Germans, "vor" means next, "zurueck" means back. :D

God I love this pic...
