I know nothing about soccer and need some help. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the following systems:
3-5-2
4-3-3
Thanks for your help

Generally a 4-3-3 is more offensive than a 3-5-2. Because in a 4-3-3 you have 3 strikers and 2 "offensive" defenders who go on the wings. That makes a 4-3-3 more flexible than a 3-5-2, because in a 3-5-2 the defenders have to stay more or less in the middle. But in a 3-5-2 you have 2 midfielders on the wing and still 3 in the middle, so its likely that a 3-5-2 team dominates the midfield.
But of course it depends how the different players play, who is offensive and who plays more defensive.

4-4-2 is probally the best and most used formation. You have two strikers. Two wingers in midfield with the two fullbacks behind them, all four getting up the wings and getting balls into the strikers. The two midflied wingers also protecting the fullbacks. Then the two central defenders with the two central mieldfields protecting them and also getting the ball to the strikers.
