man we've come completely full circle with this! Lol :D. Many of us didnt think it would be possible for Benny Feilhaber to dig out of the 6 feet under situation he got himself into. He just jumped out of the dirt today, he's back, and with a vengence. Cant think of a better psychological ploy marching into Mexico than putting Benny Feilhaber in the heart of our central midfield. Clark and Benny got something really special together, its a great equalibrium; perhaps even moreso than Bradley-Feilhaber (though we ultimately know the later will prevail).
Other note:
Mastroeni is playing himself down the totum pole and is relegated to a probable Gold Cup spot. He had two stinkers, and he's going to need a good Gold Cup to get back in it.
Edu: his Rangers campaign unquestionably shows he's in it. Hell if he was healthy im sure we wouldve saw him in one if not both of the recent games, but fate's a bitch i suppose. He's still Bradley's backup if healthy
Clark: Confed Cup invite indicates he very well could be ahead of Mastroeni despite the fact BB liking his vets. Despite not making good medicine with Michael, he makes great medicine with Benny.
Torres: still the guy we all want to see more of. started shakey against costa rica (but then again who didnt that game just sucked), but really picked it up after the first 20 minutes and was one of the very few pluses to take from the game
Kljestan: Uh....oh. What happend from the Sweden game?? maybe its time for him to start sizing up Dempsey as an outside mid option. He's still a candidate, but he needs Europe ASAP.
