Wow he played great. He broke up tons of plays and was like a fulcrum in the middle of the field. I think he may have made one turnover the whole game and completed 8 to 10. We may not have won without him in the middle. He played better than I've seen Bradley play in an USMNT jersey. I hope the coach recognizes how well he played!

mine too for this match. But I think Edu will eventually win his spot.

Yeah, he played great this game. But I think he played above what you could reasonably expect from him. He's good, but not, IMO, as good as Edu or Bradley.

He's better than Mastroenni.

Rico played great tonight, I wouldn't mind seeing more of my guys from Houston on the team...Stuie Holden and Bobby Boswell perhaps?

MVP of this game, without question. Bob loses his job if not for Clark tonight. Period.

Huge defensive presence throughout the match, he's not flashy but he gets the damn job done. Hats off to Ricardo Clark.

Clark played great tonight - his history of diving in and committing stupid hard fouls still concerns me - but tonight he was the class of the team

he was good, but i really think that the game changed for the better when benny came on, so i would make him my motm

Second. Clark's performance tonight was probably the best of any midfielder I've seen this year.

Holden yes.

Boswell I think is a step to slow.

Clark as MOM. Easy.

While I think Clark and Torres would have been the best midfield, I knew Clark and Feilhaber would perform just fine.

Is it me, or has Pablo Mastroeni played his way off of the National Team?

Clark played well tonight particularly with Feilhaber with him. He succeeds when he breaks up passes on the defense and on offense he stays away from defenders in space facing forward. Which he did both well today. He struggles when he is under pressure on offense because he doesn't have the great ball skills or dribbling skills. Good game.

Like I said before the match, Rico is the 2nd best DM in the US pool. Edu is the best. He played an outstanding game and should get many more looks. But he probably won't.

I'm calling bull shit. He was under pressure many, many times tonight. He's got a great first touch to get out of pressure, and he makes the great relief pass to help keep possession.

I don't know why this myth is perpetrated. It doesn't jive with reality.

I agree with the Edu bit, but..

MB and Edu/Clark are different players. MB is a box to box player, if we use him properly like at Herenveen. Edu/Clark are DMids. It's unfair that you use nepotism as an excuse. MB deserves to be on the 1st team. end of story.

Clark was solid, but so was Spector. Those 2 players really played well.

Don't forget (because it seems like ancient history now), but it was the Clark-Feilhaber pairing that turned around our performance against Mexico in the '07 Gold Cup Final.

Clark was indeed good, and would get my vote for MOTM.

Still, the difference was getting a more balanced midfield in there to deal with Palacios and Guevara. I think things would also have improved, though not as much, if BB had went Pablo/Benny instead.

But I agree that Clark is ahead of Pablo right now, and he's headed to SA and Pablo isn't.

I also think this is bad news for Kljestan.

For me, Bradley, Edu, Clark, Feilhaber, and Torres round out the CM core.

With Dempsey, Donovan, Beasley, Adu and Torres the wide options. Perhaps even Bornstein.

He has been great for a long time, but I think he is done.

He is behind:

Bradley
Edu
Clark
Feilhaber
Torres
Sacha
Adu
