Expecting to arrive on campus around 5pm. Fans with PDAs and web access please post about the venue, the crowd, the weather, the pregame preparations, and the match if you're so inclined. At the very least, I expect to provide a fair assessment of the crowd/atmosphere.

Well Sandon pretty much nailed it 15 min walk from downtown I'd say 85% Honduras fans. More once inside.

I just want to say thanks to all who update. I wish I could be there but will be rooting from a couple thousand miles away.
Be safe and enjoy the game.

Sun breaking through now skies clearing field is dry we had 30min of very light drizzle. Stadium now maybe 8-10% full; gotta be at least 95% blue and white at this point. 4-section long Honduran flag banner spanning the lower S end seats. 4-6 horns adding to the usual din. Place is buzzing already.

40-50 SAs just filed and settled in behind the N goal. They were resoundly booed walking in; they're chanting now fired (liquored) up bunch ;)
Looks like players about to take the field Hon staff coming out now.

Rain has stopped. Temperature in the low 50s. Definitely a Honduran crowd. I sould say 85-90% Honduras.
Pics from outside Soldier Field, to give you guys an idea of the Honduras crowd.

Really looking like a beautiful night for a match field is 2/3 bathed in sunlight clouds almost all gone about 63F very light 2mph breeze outta the south. FIFA flag at center field now following the youthful presentations of the USA and Hon flags. Bout time for some warmups!

10min behind a couple of non-english speaking white/blue afro-haired fans at the front of the concessions lines then 20min to get served 1 order of cheese fries - slid my CC order through with the help of a supervisor summoned via radio; whole place now cash only -fired the systems up only Thu. Cloudy again and cooling cones on the field on 1 end only (presumably ours) about 25% full now (I'd say 80% blue and white). The sup did confirm a 100% sellout last week.

USA just came out the boos cancelled out the cheers probably 70% Hon fans. Gooch is the only sleeveless player for warmups showing off the guns.

I hope that light blue stadium is worth it, Sunil.
I swear that I could train a chimpanzee to run the USSF and it wouldn't make stupid decisions like this.

Problem is, if Bradley goes, Sunil must follow.
In my opinion, Sunil deserves it for scheduling this game.
DD still has a chance.

Lineup is a travesty. Please, fire BB before it is too late.

Who is ultimately in charge? Is it Sunil dose he have to fire himself? They should have put this game in Portland.

Rather than complaining about the USSF, complain about the american public who dont seem to care.

Final count I'd say right around the 53,000 quoted; close to 40% USA fans. Here we GO!
