That club will be owned by Arabs by the time next season begins.

Some people really got burned eh?

I mean Ashley I find hilarious - overpaying for a sack of crap in a bubble economy and mismanaging it into the ground....

But these guys are really left holding the turd

I am sure they expected to have sold LFC at a tasty margin long ago

The club is probably worth less than when they bought it.

Oh no doubt. Anything from last year is pretty much worth less than it is now. Hicks and Gillette should have taken the offer from that Dubai consortium, what was that - 9 or 10 months ago? Now they're gonna be left holding a club with no decent cash flow it seems, a stadium that still needs to be built, and a transfer budget that Rafa continues to complain about.

Should be a great summer :D

Hopefully this force Rafa to sell us Xabi?

Who knows, Invincible you could probably steal Torres away "Figo-style".

What would ppl think about signing Manuel Fernandez?

He has potential to be the physical presence in midfield for us. He's still getting bigger, but that kid has an engine on him, and he gets forward. For me, Carrick, Fernandes, and Anderson is a very good midfield.

He was impressive in England with Everton.

I'd rather see Torres' head on a stick.

Why on earth have the last few pages of an otherwise interesting thread been dedicated to discussing the imbeciles from Madrid?

Bringing us back on topic, the UK broadsheets are today reporting that Gill has eased his stance on the possibility of signing Tevez for the originally agreed fee.

Can you guys create your own Ronaldo transfer rumours thread and get it on in there?

UF, I blame you for the thread title.

I understand entirely. I'm just having a laugh.

Anyways, mods, can the Ronaldo talk be in the Ronaldo thread?

There will hopefully be more important rumors to discuss in this thread.

Look at what the **** my great thread has become. It was a joke people. Because Ronaldo's damn name is in the thread doesn't mean it is about him. Benni this one aint my fault man. :D

All non-Ronaldo transfer talk in here, please.

Not sure the other one deserves it's 'sticky status' but for now at least it can stay at the top*. Easier for Youngstars et al to find.

*If another mod wants to unstick it, feel free.

Thought you were big on him? Guess not.

Surprised you wouldn't want him, because he's pretty good and at the same time you get to stick it to your rival. He is a little shit so I guess you have a point.

I would take Eto'o is a heartbeat. I know there will be the "he's a locker room cancer" detractors but he was a true professional this season and a deadly scorer.

I know it's only been one year that he's been a model citizen, but maybe he grew up. I don't see Barca letting him go anyway.....

Not so sure even if I don't want him. A risk...

Don't think Barca would let him go if he had actually grown up, to be honest. He is lethal and works great in their system, and on top of that, he's one of the best forwards in the world. You can't just replace that.

Ibrahimovic would probably be just as great in their system if he can handle not being top dog - actually, maybe it's good for him not being top because he won't have the spotlight on him when he doesn't deliver in Europe.

They gave him an option to renew for less money and he declined it. He has one year left, so unless they want him to leave for free next season they'll either sell or up their offer.

Didn't know that. Tbh, that's a bit insulting isn't it? Less money after he had a great season and won the treble? I'd have expected Barca to at least offer parity with his current deal for an extension.

Guess he is gone then. He's gonna be a helluva striker for some team.
