Great.First Reply of the new post.

I guess Butt will be the Torwart for the coming new season as Uli can't get Neuer. LoL.

Erm... you might actually regret posting that comment very, very soon.

I'm not regretting it and quite frankly it is just a - little exaggerated - summary about the discussion of Elia at transfermarkt

Elia was just voted talent of the year in Holland. By Johan Cruyff, the chairman of the committee that gives out that award. Previous winners include Robben. Sneijder. Afellay.

I don't give anything for such useless awards. There are countless players who have won best player awards of this and that tournament etc and were never heard of again.

Whereas everybody predicts a bright future for Elia. But feel free to disagree, I'm sure you watched a lot of Twente games this season and are in a real position to judge.

I don't care what everybody predicts as prediction means nothing else than not knowing at all. Besides whether he played good or not good for Twente is practically of no relevance at all. Past merits don't count in football and Bundesliga or CL are a different level than the dutch league

We don't even know what formation van Gaal wants to implement.
:)
Things are a-changing, that much is certain. I'm just impatient and struggling to make sense of it all.

Thanks FR.

I think that's what is semi-confusing at the moment, as very little has been revealed. Has vGaal said anything about what he envisions??

Nope, thats the point I was trying to make in the other thread, but its closed now so most people probably wont read my post.

Additionally, how do we know that Pranjic is not just comming to Bayern as a depth player? Everyone complains that we have no quality depth. Now we spend 7million on a depth player and "thats too much money".

You can't have it both ways people. If you want class players on your bench, you need to spend some money. Pranjic is a great choice for that role because he has a lot of class, but isn't a superstar who will demand to leave if he isn't starting every match.

Sorry mate. :)

It was getting pretty stuffy in that thread.

Yea, I am waiting for a bit farther into the transfer period to make any conclusions. As things stand, it is pretty confusing but a lot more can still happen.

Sorry bud, I missed it. I will go look for it.

Any more word on who is leaving?

Why can't Pranjic play as ROM? Ribery is right footed and plays on the left. Pranjic would enjoy all of the same options in attack on the right as Ribery does on the left, and Im sure we all agree he would be a significant upgrade to Schweini in the attacking department.

Then why not getting Srna who is known to play there in the first place? Even as Schweinsteiger critique I'll overread the comment about Schweinsteiger for this moment

Here is neki's last post from the previous transfer thread.

It absolutely baffles me that people are upset about the Gomez transfer. He is the hottest striker prospect in Europe. We landed a guy who is going to give us 20+ goals every year for the next 5 seasons.

All this talk of playing Pranjic in Ribery's spot is hilarious. We don't even know what formation van Gaal wants to implement.

Who knows I can only speculate. Maybe Srna was managements first choice, but they could not come to an agreement with him.

I still think the most logical assumption here is that Pranjic is a depth player, nothing less, nothing more. If we sell Borowski to help offset the transfer fee, then its a great deal (Pranjic will be making far less money than Boro).

Do you think Gomez is worth 30 mil? More than either Diego and Ribery? His position was not one that required the most attention and we went all out to get him.

Keep in mind that the xfer seasons goes all the way until August. The big picture still has time to come together here before everyone panics.

What you mean to say is that we're not getting as good a deal on Gomez as we did on Ribery (we all know that already). But that's not what you said now, is it? Paying the 25M (or whatever) for Ribery doesn't mean he is only worth that much, obviously.

Actually Bayern hasn't close the deal of Mario Gomez.

People from Stuttgart is still talking about putting Bayern young talent Niedermeier into the Gomez transfer.(Kicker and Transfermarket)

http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/artikel/509694

So the price of Gomez may less than 30M.

yeah and gomez is still on 24. sky is the limit for that kid, and toni has nowhere to go but down. had to replace toni at some point and had to beat the other big kids to the punch w/ gomez
