Edu out for 3 months

We are looking thin in the midfield especially with Sasha and Pablo stinking it up lately. Benny Feilhaber to the rescue??

As if last night's EMBARRASSING display wasn't bad enough, now one of our best in-form players is gone for the summer!!

IMO, Edu would've made the Confed Cup roster & been a BIG help v Honduras, especially with MB out due to yellow card accumlation!!

Edu will be sorely missed, in the WCQs & Confed Cup, but let's hope that Torres, Clark or Feilhaber use this opportunity to cement their place on the USMNT!!

The problem with the midfield is that our fullbacks are so damn suspect

If we had good fullbacks we could go with:

----Ching-Altidore
----Adu----
Donovan--Demspey
-----Clark-----
---BACKLINE

I wouldn't really have a problem with that lineup if everything was okay in the back. But with our backline, we'd get smoked with that midfield. I don't know what the answer is.

I think it's time for Torres to step up. Benny and Rico can fill in out of necessity but it's time for Torres. Either that or Sacha needs to grow his hair out again.

hard luck for Edu. but if he's going to be out for 3 months in the middle of a year, I'd much prefer it to be 2009 and not 2010.

Agreed - if ACL reconstruction he'd have been out no less than 6 months. He'll be strengthening all summer long.
