I know Ricardo, the ex-Monaco is available, as is Klinsi. Anyone else free now, which happens to be the perfect time to jump in for a top top level manager.

I still think Klinsi has to be our guy immediately, despite his BM stint. He's a much better fit for a team like the US than he ever was going to be at a Bayern Munich.

Sigi would be pretty dandy right now. There's one guy who wouldn't play a 4-3-3 on the road

Go jump off a bridge.

Bob gave everyone what they wanted-- an "attacking" line-up. Seems to me that he really only made two big mistakes. The first was to start DMB. I don't understand it, it was pretty obvious against Trinidad that Beas can't play LB. Did Bob really think that we were going to be allowed to play a 3-4-3 on the road in Saprissa? (PS -- for all you folks out there thinking that the USA should be playing three in the back, take another look at last nights game).

To be honest-- playing Beas is so bad that if Bob starts him again anywhere on the pitch this Saturday, then Bob does deserve to be fired.

The second mistake was one that reveals a shortcoming in Bob's coaching. I think it's pretty clear we were going to play the same 4-4-2 we tried against T&T, with Chinger and Jozy up top. That would have been a pretty good line-up against CR, but still wouldn't have helped against those first two goals (b/c DMB would have still been in there at the same poisition). When Ching went down hurt, Bob didn't have his team ready for plan B. Maybe they all knew what plan B was, but they were no where near ready to play it. That's Bob's fault. Sure, we don't have that much time to train, but Plan A is pretty obvious- we've been playing the same thing for two & 1/2 years now. I hang that on Bob, but that's not worth firing him over. Let's see how he and the team respond this Saturday. A big win and we are back on pace to qualify.

firststar is wrong. And telling us to jump off a bridge doesnt change that. I think he's one of the idiots who thinks attacking means 4-3-3 and ntohing else. And then he;ll say "oh go get your foreign coach with an accent." Me, I just want someone who doesn't play a new formation that had less than 2 days to prepare for (and wrongly chosen players). Someone who picks players based on skill and form. That means yes Adu and Altidore, and no Beasley and Kljestan. Now go jump off a bridge.

The problem with the Bob Bradley Team is not the formation ...It does not matter if he lines them up.. 4-4-2 Diamond, 4-4-2 Box, "66", 4-3-2-1, 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 1-11... His team tactically plays the same way!!!

Ball up to the CB, out to the DB, up to DM back to the CB, out to DB back to the CB play a searching 30 yard ball forward in the middle - lose ball, Defend - REPEAT. The team cannot carry the ball into attack via the midfield.

The only time that the the US is tactically in any formation is at the beginning of each half before kick off - the next 45 minutes is just individuals man marketing and trying to make something happen.

That's actually an intriguing idea. It would just be a one year contract. Roman is still paying him, so money is probably less of an issue than it normally would be.

Dave Beckham will be looking for a new job in a few months. Maybe it's time he traded in the Predators for a pair of Armani loafers.

take all the liverpool and manuntd fans with you!!! everyone knows bob messed up. i would have like to see a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-2 with bradley and torres on the middle donovan and dempsey out on the wings. and altidore and davies up top. can we please get spector playing LB i mean what does DMB have to do to convience bob that he cant play LB.

Bob Gansler is not doing much these days, I think Toronto might be persuaded to release him.

What is Bora up to?

And watching last night's game, I was thinking a 3-6-1 might have been the best formation

Do you even understand what a 4-3-3 is?

Bora went off to coach Iraq. We asked him to come back, but he said he was looking for something more stable and promising.

The odd thing is that Bradley has done a very good job in terms of talent identification at the camp level.

As I mentioned in the "Making the Breakthrough" thread, he's given 12 guys their first WCQ cap. We have very talented, young players who are in the mix and have been throughout this cycle. He ultimately discarded guys like Lewis, Wolff, and Johnson who weren't performing. And though I can think of a few guys I wish had more time with the team, I can't think of a single player he's omitted that must be included.

Where he's falling short is gameday. I honestly believe that a superior coach could take the same group of players and perform better. The tactical management is brutal to watch, and I'm tired of our teams playing clueless for large stretches of matches (see: last night, away to El Sal, away to Guat, away to Cuba, Euro friendlies from last summer, etc.)
