I will go with Davies, he gave a shyte about his playing time. It was a hard game, we lost and it is off to get to Chicago.

Adu was second, then third was a tie between Bradely/Torres.

Torres for me, started with the jitters, played quite well after 15 minutes on, any attacking movement came through him.

Altidore is my close second, he did a great Brian Ching impression today with the holdup play and getting fouls

Davies was the third plus for me, good play by him though. Vas improvement over dempsey

I think that Gooch played one hell of a game, with the exception being the ''what the f*ck are you doing 35 yards up the field at the sideline'' play on the second goal (I'd have to see the replay, but my guess is that he knew Wynne was crapping his pants and went to help out). He covered Wynne's ass so many times, and that's definitely not funny. He played some fair balls up field, looked pretty well in control and calm, and played excellent one-on-one defense and broke up all sorts of plays. Now, maybe the mistake on the goal will convince others here otherwise, but I think he was the best player on the field. Aside from him, Bradley did a good job with what he had to work with, and mo' props to Davies for working his ass off and creating some good opportunities.

Well it's Landon Donovan of course. eventually.

He scored the goal. And five months from now when he takes 3 more pens, and scores 1 from the run of play to be the leading scorer of 2009. Not only will he still be our "Best" Player but also, somehow through the magic of Revisionist History...will be the MOTM.

See his performance at world cup 2006 for another great example of this.

Torres was the best player out there and I'd give a second to Davies for effort

Torres was the best player if you ingore his play on our half of the field. He was horrible on defense.

I thought Gooch has a solid game and Davies was solid in his limited time.

DaMarcus Beasley. Strong defending and a very subtle first touch.

hmmm, I put a lot of heart into the team, wasting my day though.

The bus driver got who us to the match on time. After that, it was all downhill.

Torres was the MOTM in my view, with Davies right behind. To your point, Torres was supposed to push forward with freedom to direct play while Mastroeni took care of the defensive responsibilities behind. Torres had to chase back defensively due to Pablo roaming all over as the wings got beaten continually. That Torres was even worrying about the defense points to a problem that isn't rightly laid at his feet.......

Dude, he set up every goal against T & T in March - 3 assists. Talk about fair weather!

Davies wasn't in long enough to get it from me.

So, I'm going to have to say Howard. He's our only player who didn't screw up the entire game. The only one he had a chance to save was the third goal, and that was a very, very tough one that our "defense" left to him. There were a few miscommunications, but I blame that more on the noise and the back four than him.

Gotta give it to the birthday boy, Freddy Adu. Happy 43rd, Freddy!

The ref. He gave us a sympathy goal and blew the whistle ending that abomination.
