Hashemian scores a pair as Bochum sinks TSV 1860
By Soccernet
Apr 10, 2004, 16:55
Iransportspress: 1860, who play in the shadow of city rivals Bayern, have much to do to guarantee their top flight place. Victory for the home side has kept them in fifth place and on course for the UEFA Cup.
They have, along with Borussia Dortmund, 45 points but Bochum are ahead on goal difference.
The home team took the initiative as soon as the game kicked off and were the dominant side.
Their first chance arrived in the opening minutes when Paul Freier ran down the right flank and delivered a low ball into the centre.
The Lions were unable to clear the ball to safety, but captain Dariusz Wosz's shot hit Martin Stranzl on the line.
In the 26th minute, though, Vahid Hashemian put Bochum on their way to victory as he scored from eight yards after a cross from Wosz.
The Iranian international netted his second five minutes from half-time after 1860 failed to clear Wosz's free-kick from midfield into the box.
Hashemian shot the ball into the net from 12 yards with a spectacular bicycle kick.
Bochum were on the march to victory in the 61st minute when Peter Madsen's 25-yard shot into the far corner of the goal made it 3-0.
Momo Diabang added the cherry on the cake after an error by keeper Michael Hoffman, who should have simply passed into the centre.
Instead, Diabang dispossessed him and tucked it away from close range.
Bochum remained the most convincing side with a completely deserved win over 1860, who gave a dreadful display and only created a couple of half chances.

Vahid will join Bayern
BERLIN, April 10 (Reuters) - Iran striker Vahid Hashemian said on Saturday he would join Bayern Munich from Bundesliga rivals VfL Bochum at the end of the season.
"I will play for Bayern next season but until then I want to give my very best for Bochum," Hashemian told reporters after scoring two goals in his side's 4-0 home win over TSV 1860 Munich.
Bochum and Bayern have both refused to comment on media reports that the 27-year-old, who has scored 14 league goals this season, would join the German champions.

Hamburg lost to Dortmund 2-0 and probably will not get that Uefa Cup spot.
Mehdi played but I have no idea how he did.
Dortmund dominates in style
Any HSV fans who though that after seeing them lose 1-4 in Schalke last week, that things could only get better...were proved wrong this afternoon, as Klaus Toppmöller's side were simply outclassed by Borussia Dortmund in front of 52,000 in the AOL Arena. The visitors fully deserved their 2-0 win, and had class players on show like Frings, and especially Jan Koller who was simply superb.
Frings a revelation
HSV's defensive line was leaky to say the least. It took only 8 miutes for the visitors to go in front, as Frings capitalised on a mistake by Mahdavikia who failed to clear his lines. The German international midfielder who has been in sparkling form since his return from a long injury lay-off connected with a pass from Dede to score from 10 yards out.
HSV shell-shocked
The home side were visibly shaken by the early setback, and the visitors continued to refuse the home side any time to settle. Dortmund strung some superb passing combinations together and always seemed to have more time on the ball. They tackled every HSV player as soon as he had possession and that made the home side even more nervous.
"Killer Koller"
The Czech-Republic international "Man-Mountain" Jan Koller, almost capitalised on the home side's nerves as he forced Stefan Wächter into a fabulous reflex save as a cross by Frings caused havoc in the HSV penalty area. The resulting corner (also by Frings) was back-headed by Kehl to Koller, who gleefully scored from close range without a defender in sight on 28 minutes.
Double chance
Dortmund's second goal seemed to act as a wake up call for HSV. On the half hour mark the Borussia keeper Warmuz foiled a double chance as he saved brilliantly from first Barbarez and then Romeo. Nothing much happened until half time apart from the Brazilian striker Ewerthon, who missed a gilt-edged opportunity to put Dortmund further ahead. Coach Sammer's men went into the half time break well worth their two goal lead. HSV left the pitch to an ear-splitting cresendo of whistles from the home fans.
Takahara for Kling...for 10 minutes
Klaus Toppmöller brought on Takahara for Kling at the start of the second half, but the "Sushi-Bomber" was taken off injured 10 minutes later, before he could make any kind of impression on the game. HSV did improve somewhat in the second half as far as tackling was concerned, but the cold hard facts tell the true story... HSV never had a single chance during the second 45 minutes. Dortmund didn't have that problem at all. a brilliant solo run by the former Arsenal youngster Guy Demel put Koller in and he only narrowly missed scoring his second goal of the game by inches on 61 minutes. Gambino went close on 68 minutes after a mistake by Hollerbach.
Dortmund home and dry
Dortmund had further chances to extend their lead, but in the end just played out for time, with the home side rarely threatening. Romeo had a good chance for a consolation goal, but rushed his chance while in space at the far post. It was HSV's first home defeat since August 2003, now they must travel to meet 1860 Munich (17.4.04, kick-off 3.30 pm), and try to win their first away game for five matches.
Match details:
HSV: Wächter - Wicky, Hoogma, Ujfalusi, Hollerbach - Mahdavikia, Schlicke, Jarolim, Kling - Romeo, Barbarez - Trainer: Toppmöller
Borussia Dortmund: Warmuz - Demel, S. Reuter, Wörns, Jensen - Frings, Kehl, Dede - Gambino, Koller, Ewerthon - Trainer: Sammer
Goals: 0:1 Frings (8.), 0:2 Koller (28.)
Referee: Kircher
Att: 52204
Yellow cards: Hollerbach, Barbarez, Schlicke + Reuter

Mahdavikia Suffers Another Injury
By Reza Ghazinouri
Apr 12, 2004, 11:59
IranSporsPress - Iranian national team player and Hamburg striker Mehdi Mahdavikia suffered an injury to his ankle joint and has been in severe pain.
The Hamburg forward injured his ankle during his side’s first loss at home this season against rivals Borrusia Dortmund. The possibility of his absence in Hamburg’s next match against 1860 Munchen is high. The team’s trainer has said that he is suffering from tendonitis at his left ankle joint.
Mahdavikia has played 26 games for Hamburg this season in which he has scored three goals and had eight assists in. All three goals has been from the penalty spot.

no problem, I saw a Chinese and Korean one, so why cant the best team in Asia have one?
Because koreans and chinese don't have football forums in english where as we have tons. Most of their forums are in their own language and a lot of the chinese and koreans in bigsoccer can't speak their own language so they come here to be up-to-date about their players. Whereas iranians have a lot of english forums like persianfootball.com irankicks.com iransportspress.com iran-goal parsfootball ect ect besides the persian ones.
This thread might be usefull to the non-iranians but we all get our infos from the persian websites. Anyways good work keep it up if you want.......:)

Pashazadeh Scored and helped rapid vien in a 2-1 victory. He has been solid this year last season he was voted best midfielder as well as 2nd best defender in austrian bundesliga. I dunno why branco has chosen not to put him in the starting line up!
lol ruff how the hell did we jump from 24 to 17 when we only played 1 match against laos of all teams!?
I think fifa is trying to make up with IFF after screwing us so many times check out FIFA.COM Iran is on the cover page again for the 3rd time in a row! This time it is about are futsal and how we are the kings blah blah
"The Kings of Persia
With futsal still very much in its infancy in most parts of Asia, Iran’s sensational advance to the semi-finals of the 1992 FIFA World Championship in Hong Kong established them as continental kings even before their overwhelming dominance of the annual AFC Futsal Championship began in 1999.
Despite their early, group-stage exits at both Spain 1996 and Guatemala 2000, the Persian side have kept a perfect record in Asia, winning all five Asian titles since 1999 without losing a match.
While few will question the Kings’ chances for a spot at Chinese Taipei this November, the five-time Asian champions are also looking to improve on their fourth-place finish at the FIFA Futsal World Championship. As the Hong Kong 1992 tournament (Iran’s best-ever finish), was the first World Championship to take place in Asia, a return to the continent at Chinese Taipei 2004 can only point to good things for the Asian aces."
Speaking of futsal shamsai has just told Lazio to go ******** themselves! lol he said he is too big for lazio! he has offers from spanish teams now and will likely join a spanish team next year. He was the best player in Italy's futsal league and scored almost all of lazio's goals but he had problems with the coach or something.

If Pashazadeh doesnt get called for the Jordan game, there is something wrong, because he will not have any club duties at the time.
