favorite quote: regarding portugal team during world cup...
"Oh man, they didn't like us," recalls Beasley with a little swagger in his voice. "They walked off the field. We tried to exchange jerseys, do the friendly thing, but they just walked off. They weren't too happy with their performance, and they weren't too happy about losing to Americans. But that's how it goes--they got sour. But I didn't really care, I was too busy celebrating. And I didn't really care about getting anybody's jersey anyway."

New City did a great article on Stoitchkov last year as well:

This is my favorite line:
". . . and the way his left-footed blasts violate all laws of the space-time continuum would make Einstein soil himself."

"What's out of control is the girls in the stands. Man... there were so many. Italy and Argentina, man, the girls are ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Sometimes I got caught up in watching the girls in the stands instead of the games, that's how bad--that's how good--it was."
LOL hahaha....we gotta get this kid a vacation to college for a few weeks....

I'm sure Trecker also thinks he's a credit to his race.
Trecker also still hasn't figured out that he's a midfielder. He's still calling him a striker. That's both amazing and par for the course.
