3-0 to Everton at half time! I suppose it's better to lose badly than to just lose, at least this will put the heavy pressure on to get rid of Pleat, get rid of the awful Doherty and splash the cash to sign a lot of new players. It's season ticket renewal time, and this game is live on TV on a public holiday, so maximum exposure, hopefully this will lead to some repercussions.

doherty just got signed to a long-term deal, pleat will be there until he dies, spending loads of cash will do just as much as the loads of cash we spent last season, and the season before, and the season before that... i think other than manu and chelsea we've forked out more for players in the last 10 years than any other club, and chelsea probably only just caught up to us when roman came aboard.
it's useless, there's more wrong at spurs than players, managers or the chairman.

It's the defense, we have Gardner, Carr, and ... and ... well that's the point, nothing else. :( If we're attacking, it goes less noticed, but we can't be on form offensively every week. I realize that many people think Brown is a great prospect and that he dominated the First Division and all that. But honestly, he's just not the answer at Dmid, and frankly, I think he's more of a utility player for the bench. I'm not convinced that Doc can defend effectively. I have no faith in the health of King and am constantly expecting Gardner's good run of health (and resulting good run of form) to end.
We need to become a team that, even on a horrible day offensively, we can still grind out a 1-0 win or an Arse-nil-nil draw. This team just isn't able to do that. Hopefully, when MvB comes, we'll have no problem with possession, ball-winning, and playing solid defense. Until then ... let's hope our forwards regain their good form. As for our midfield ... what's Ricketts up to lately? (yes that was a sarcastic comment).

Brown is the best player in the Spurs midfield when Davies is not 100%. Always busy and making tackles, he needs time to adjust to the Premiership and better players around him, but none of these results are his fault.
Doherty is the liability. Kelly played ok for a young kid playing out of position, an odd decision by Pleat which didn't work, not with the painfully slow and uncommitted Ziege in front. Ricketts gave a touch of class when he came on, set up the goal and should be played from the start, the midfield needs someone with pace who can link up with the front men.

100% true. I couldn't believe my eyes when Ricketts came on. And within 2 minutes his running had petrified the average toffee defenders, and he set up a goal!
Carr's red was never a sending off. McFadden dived! Dirty git!
