Can someone tell me about this Liberty Cup deal I keep hearing about? I'm really not sure who will win the Atlantic Cup in its inagural year, but I think it should be an exciting battle. Well, unless DC just give up from frustration which is definately in the realm of possibility.
On the first meeting of the year, there was no doubt as to who was the better team. Metros got rocked and outplayed by United. It was my second favorite match United have played all year behind the 2-0 win over Chicago at RFK in late March.
On the last meeting, it was a case of some descent combination play scattered throughout the game, but all in all, it wasn't pretty soccer. Unforunately, the Metros got the late winner. That's how soccer is sometimes.
It's a no-brainer that Metros have the better squad this year, but I don't think it will be the same story in a couple years. Although I think they will be a very good team. This will become a much bigger rivalry than the Brimstone Cup in my opinion.

What my esteemed colleagues were trying to convey was that the mere mention of the marketing fabricated "Atlantic Cup" is offensive. By trying to initiate discourse on the topic, you have, in their minds, labeled yourself a toady of the United spinmeisters, and unworthy of any response other than contempt and abuse.
You ain't gotta go home, but you gotta get on up outta here.

You can't talk to these animals, rymman. You see, scum supporters only respond to primitive grunts and snarling. They see civilized talk as a threat, and immediatley begin screeching at you in their horrible Neanderthal speak. The best thing is to avoid eye contact, and slowly back away, making no mention of their sides inability to win anything.

Be resigned to the fact that whatever stupid thing you type with your cretinous fingers will be rightly shown as fecal etchings of a 3-year old autistic goat, and you will be abused until you drag your weeping, quivering mess of an existence back to your Bedwetters Anonymous group.
Translated it for ya, rymman. Now shut up.

Obviously we can add really, really bad smack and living in the past to the list of things DC fans can do well.
