What a turn of events and what an amazing come back for La Coruna. All hopes were lost for the Spanish side when they were beaten 4-1 at home but on the return leg, they thrash Milan 4-0 in their backyard. Really really inspirational stuff. Really overwhelming display of perserverence.
So it goes as AC Milan has now followed the fellow big boys like Real Madrid and Arsenal out of the Champions League after getting their butts served to them in a platter by Deportivo.
I guess people should assume the CL final will be between La Coruna and Chelski.
The Russian billionaire's men will be favorites to take the silverware as they simply have more world class players not just on their first team but on their bench as well, but seeing that Deportivo soundly and deservedly beat a club I consider the world's best in AC Milan, it won't be a sure bet for the English club to win. The only person who can screw it up for Chelsea now, is Ranieri.
Since AC Milan is out, I'll be rooting for Deportivo to go all the way.
