Overmars, Robben on the left, Vd Meijde, John van 't Schip, Dennis Bergkamp on the right (yes, Dennis Bergkamp started his career on the right wing for Ajax)

Well, on the right you have to rate Stanley Matthews on the short list. Gento rates high on the left. Garrincha , probably the best of all, really. Jairzinho played out on the wing so you have to throw him into the mix.

I loved watching Bruno Conti-a classic winger.

Today... guys like Robben, Giggs, Duff and Nedved (although not a trad. winger thats where he starts) need to be mentioned on the left...

On the right, players like Beckham, Figo, Deisler fit the bill.
