Mack made an interesting post in the other thread about making a move for Robben
personally I would not as I would have to believe Real would want a load of dosh and he would not remain healthy enough over the long run
I also believe that he does not want to play for us again thanks to Daddy.

Wouldn't mind Robben back, but Real probably want a lot for him, who knows if he wants back, and I'm thinking his improved health may be due to getting away from our aweful team physios.

I think all the injuries we suffered was down to fitness to be fair. The instant Hiddink came in it didn't seem like players were dropping like flies.

Our injury problem goes deeper than that I think. Essien playing on a partially torn ACL, and the injury problems we had the season before. Things did improve under Hiddink, but Joe Cole and Essien both played with damaged ligaments and it cost them their seasons basically.

yeah but remember we were quite fit under Jose and only suffered mostly crazy injuries (ie Cech getting assualted by Stephen Kunt). Robben was more "kicked" into injury than suffering strains and pulls initially and it was only later that his vagina got strained and he could not turn out for certian games.

I was actually all for the title.;)
Anyhow, my final verdict on Robben is that anything under 28 million EUROS, we sold him for over 36 million mind you, would be satisfactory.

I'd be iffy about Robben. For starters, absolutely no way we're getting him back, not for an absolute boatload of money. They paid far too much for him to let him go so prematurely.
Would much rather see someone younger, and far less injury prone come in. (Plus Malouda has been on absolutely cracking form as of late, so I think a right winger would be just as/more important)

Oh, and to Ben's post regarding why West Ham got in trouble and not United...
My understanding of it is that West Ham basically signed Tevez completely illegally. It was a deal that never should've happened, and resulted in ehmmm Sheffields? relegation, essentially.
United have obtained him completely legally on a glorified sort of loan deal, and they have the option to buy his rights outright for some crazy 30 million pound fee or something like that.

for me Sheff Utd got relegated on the field mate, they had chances to stay up and lost and can point the finger all they want
if it was as a one off final and West Ham used Tevez to beat them fair enough, but Sheff Utd could have and should have done enough to avoid relegation
end of the day- I would take Tevez in an instant.

Angel Di Maria fits that bill nicely.

Well that's what I hear, but I still don't know exactly what made their deals different. I thought West Ham got in trouble for having players on their team (Tevez and Mascherano) that were owned by a 3rd party. I can see how Liverpool are ok since I believe they bought Mascherano outright from MSI or whoever, but Tevez is still owned by a 3rd party. So how is Man U's situation any different than West Ham's? My guess is Andy is right in that it simply comes down to the name...

If we did that I would be so upset I would probably not be able to do anything Chelsea related for a considerable length of time.

Well, hence why I said essentially. And I wholeheartedly agree with you about them.
But I'd be pretty pissed too if some dude who shouldn't even be on the pitch is scoring the goals that in the end are the final of a series of blows that lead to your relegation.

LOL Robben's Vagina-----Gawwwwwwddd you are SOOO right on with that!
made me spit out my bubbley water all over the keyboard.
He was such an ass when he left Chelsea, can't see him ever coming back. He was the last really good winger we had tho.
