View Full Version : RSL at Mundial Sub-18 in Spain
This was their prize for winning the SUM Cup last year. They open against Partizan Belgrade on Monday:

Other sources indicate that their last game is against Rayo Vallecano, not River Plate.

Pretty cool stuff. Hopefully we can get some decent updates.
Tournament got underway today:
Sao Paulo 3-0 Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid 1-0 Penarol
Corinthians 1-0 Mamelodi Sundowns
Werder Bremen 2-2 Goyang FC
Tomorrow's matches:
Dinamo Kiev - Beijing Guoan
Barcelona - Boca Juniors
Partizan Belgrade - Real Salt Lake
Espanyol - Rayo Vallecano
FWIW this is not the same Real Madrid U18 side that played DCU earlier this year.

Not to be a homer, but isn't a draw the best result ever for a MLS youth club in this tournament?

considering that that club beat DC United 7-0 last year, you have to say it was a decent result at a minimum
DCU beat Sevilla last year.
Here's the tournament website...last year they posted lineups and scorers, hopefully they will do that again:

Isn't Partizan supposed to have one of the best youth academies in Europe? I believe I read that somewhere before. If so, that seems like it would be a solid result for RSL.

I like the pic at the bottom. I guess the kicking the ball is an ex-player, but he looks funny to me.
