Just a heads up - the Quakes will receive their championship rings this weekend, and 7500 fans or so will get replicas.
Suffice to say there will be a surplus of rings, and those of us who will be there, well our 2001 rings are still nice and shiny. How many of these things can you wear anyway?
Anyway, I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but if any of you wants one of these championship rings just reply here. After all, your teams played such a big part in San Jose's championship season - what with L.A.'s Great Collapse, K.C.'s Big Choke, and of course the historic Bending Over of the Chicago Fire.
Oh wait you've got a new Ring - Henry Ring! Didn't he give up like nine goals in his only start last year? Hoo boy, the fun is gonna start Saturday!

I bet those 730 fans that didn't get their replicas were bummed. The fact that nobody showed up to watch the Quakes get their championship rings would be laughable if it wasn't so completely pathetic and so fitting.
How much more head scratching does MLS need to do before it pulls the plug?

If the Earthquakes win the MLS Cup this season; will the 9000 or so fans who show up for the 2005 home opener of the Saskatoon Earthquakes, the Ten Sleep Earthquakes or the Winnemucca Earthquakes receive replicas?

Last I checked, the UNITED had 6 cup championships, 3 being MLS. Congrats on your two and all, but unless you really ARE #1 Id think about taking that fat hairy finger and giving it a nice warm home right where the sun dont shine.
While the Black and Red might not be at the height of thier greatness this very moment, I would watch out because WE WILL BE BACK, and sooner than you think.
Its pretty sad that even when the Black and Red are not doing so well, we STILL get WAY more supporters out in the stands than most.
