There are going to be 4 of us. One already lives in Dallas, the rest of us are coming down from Oklahoma. We won't get there until maybe a 1/2 hour before the game since we're having to wait until 4:30 to get my brother in law.

We're in Sec. 4, Row 7. It's my brother in law's first soccer game ever to attend (to include college, youth, etc). He says that since I'm such a soccer nut and am going to be to be around now for a long time he better give this soccer thing a shot and that US/Mex will be a great introduction because if can't at least like like US vs Mexico he'll probably never like soccer.

We're gonna have to leave directly after the game too since work isn't taking Thursday off.

Well, see if you can't join Sam's Army for the second half, then. Otherwise your BIL won't get the full effect of it all. Too bad you're going to miss the tailgate. Next time.

(BTW, sorry about this, but it looks like I won't be able to get away for the Dallas-City game tomorrow - I really want y'all to get a team!)

For those so interested, the Sam's Army ticket info is:

I'm coming in from DC (just one -- no compadres for the Wednesday night game). Section 4, Row 25. I'm flying into DFW at 2:05 and back out at 8:45 Thursday morning.

Looking great! The Army section is filling up, and we're past 15K overall. Hopefully the Burn can get some more advertizing in gear and get this sucker up to 30-40,000.

BTW - everyone make plans to come by the tailgate - even if you're not going to be in The Army for the game.

Any info on where the tailgate will be?

Any info on where the tailgate will be?

The pencil sketch has it on the Grassy Knoll (near the Cotton Bowl.) It is just east of the Coliseum, northwest of the Smirnoff (formerly the Starplex). Basically, where The Inferno usually gathers.

Haven't heard final details, yet, though. But it will be open pretty much as soon as the gates are open.

Feel free to PM me as we get closer.

If it's in the usual place it will be in the 'Coliseum' Parking lot between the Cotton Bowl and the Smirnoff (formerly known as Starplex). The Coliseum is the big blue rectangular building near the players entrance and Gate 7 of the Cotton Bowl.

At the far end of tha parking lot is a small grassy island with a few trees - aka the grassy knoll. Check www.the-inferno.net for a map / aerial photo of tailgate area.

If you take your gear to change into after work you can just hop on the Tollway South and follow these streets through uptown and Deep Ellum to avoid the whole gridlock on the other freeways:

Take the left lane [after the toll plaza] to Pearl to 75 -
follow the access road of 75 to Good Latimer (veer left onto Good Latimer)
Follow Good Latimer thru the Deep Ellum tunnel past Elm St
Turn left on Main St OR on Commerce St
Go past two stop lights (Malcolm X Blvd and Hall St) and
Veer right on to Exposition Blvd
Exposition Blvd ends in a 'T' intercestion at Perry Ave - the front gates of Fair Park

send me a PM if you have questions

Driving up from Houston with 3 other die-hard supporters.
We'll be at the tailgating no doubt and we will be in the Hinchada Colorada.

After last May's 0-0 scrap here in Houston, our Texas blade is still bright and only when we have a Pancho scalp will it be satisfied!

Acuerda las promesas de 1824 !!! Remember the Alamo!!!

The Yanks are religion for us and Tejas is our temple.

Go U.S.A.
