So, we're in another final. The stakes this time feel higher and different to how they did last season. We're playing for a place in history and that's playing on my mind something rotten.
To this point in time I don't think I'm nervous, truth is, I'm not sure what I am. Excited, depressed; positive and then negative; doubtful and then certain, but not really nervous yet.
Anyway, how do you usually get by at times like this?

I think I am in the same mood as you DS. I do not have nay opinion about this final, I am trying to figure out where I am going to watch it. I am not even thinking about the lineup, nor how we will play, when the game starts it will probably hit me... idk

Booze. Barely working today. Just checking around news sites, pottering around, etc.

I'm not nervous at all tbh. I'm sure I will be once kickoff comes, but I'm cool as a cucumber right now.
This season has been weird, I don't know why but I haven't really gotten that up or down with our success of defeats.

You've got to keep reminding yourself that the season is already a success as we've won the league (and some other trinkets).
It might not be much comfort in the immediate aftermath of a defeat, but it's still true.

I eventually managed to make a poll...

Is there a way i can vote for exercise and sex? Cause one is kind of a type of the other, no?

I played football for almost 4 hours yesterday in an effort to sleep well. I never have trouble sleeping unless there's a huge match coming up or I'm about to travel. I still didn't fall asleep instantly. This evening I'll attend optional rugby training and hope that knocks me out.
I'm not buzzing, but the edge of nerves is there. A slight tremmor when I'm not doing something with my hands and just in general, an inability to sit still.

The nerves didn't hit me until this morning. I took a weekend trip with the wife and dog, so we stayed busy and I didn't really have time to think about the match. But now I'm back at work and I finally had time to start reading the stories and thinking about the match. I guess I'll just try to stay busy between now and kickoff, probably doing many of the things on the poll options.

I'm not nervous, I'm just very, very impatient. I'm employing all my time wasting tools now. (Sleeping, internet, talking on the phone etc)

The double Ps arent a bad option though, I am panicking alot but wont really admit it to myself, I am also kind of praying somewhere in my mind, come on let us be lucky, let us be unworthy winners, let us cheat to win, whatever, come on Gods.
These are not obvious ones, but I feel I am experiencing them without my will.

Apparently I woke up and yelled ******** at the top of my lungs t'other night, so the other half says.
Apparently I was playing through the game in my mind, which she found hilarious.
I have no recollection of this event...

I'm avoiding the news sites and MUTV and Sky, but can't help but take a peek from time to time. I've been told I'm acting odd three times this week... well, odder than usual, at least :D
I'm debating on whether to watch the game alone, go to the pub, be with relatives or watch with my mates.
Each grouping brings with it its own angst. I know some of my friends will root for Barca... I know my uncle will cheer for Barca (he's a bitter) and that my dad would make my viewing experience miserable by condemning us to death or being 'impressed' by Barca's game to the point where he feels the need to comment on it.
The pub will either be the best place for the shared celebration, or the worst, for a collective doom...
Argh.
I even thought about getting wasted and watching in a drunken stupor, but I haven't done that for a good 10 years now..lol

I had a dream last night about watching the match.

I figured multiple choice would be best avoided as I'd probably tick like 10 options by myself before any of you guys spammed it up!

I had what I thought was a non-football related dream last night, but when I think about it, it was all about the match. I sold something I shouldn't have in the dream and it cost me dearly, however in the end I was able to recover what I needed and right was restored. However, not without some heartache along the way.
Maybe we'll try to be too coy at the start and go down a goal or two and then throw caution to the wind and wind up winning a thriller???

I actually had a dream i was playing for Barcelona. Not in the CL final, like through a regular la liga season.

I've got tons of work to do, too much actually. But the game is on my mind all the time that I can't get much work done. Chewing a lot of gum in the office today.
Haven't decided if I'm going to the pub or watching in peace at home. Sometimes it get too crowded at the pub. Plus my son really wants to watch the second half when he gets home from school.
