I know EQ, and probably WHY everyone bitches and moans so much, because they know the club is capable of great things, but hasn't been living up to its potential.

My best moment from this season was 5 mins ago. I knew that GOAL TV was not showing the match live, and so I had to log on here to find out if we made the CL. I wouldn't have been able to handle watching a match knowing its already happen, especially with this much at stake. So when I turned to the last page of the match thread, and it wasn't filled with people bemoaning the lack of an automatic CL berth, I was over the moon. The happiest I've been all season. Now I'm going to go and watch the match in peace.
Now, I'm looking forward to Uli honoring his promise to spend heartily to acquire talent and depth for multiple positions, and committing to upgrading the squad consistently each subsequent season . . . . sorry, I can't continue with that train of thought, my euphoria's wearing off. :p

Berloha, your goal for next season is to reduce how many times you switch teams! I have you at 5 or 10 this season. ;)

My favorite moments of this season were when we beat Fiorentina 3-0, the first half against Dortmund when we conceded and immedietly responded back and the second half of the game against Hamburg, for some inexplicable reason.

Don't worry, maybe in a few years you'll love Hoffenheim as much as you love your man-crushes Breno and Sosa :D

Uh ? :D
Hoffenheim means the soccer world to me. Breno and Sosa are captivated in Munich, this is also a reason why I feel close to them.

Bayern forever!
Eissman's fav moments this season:
- Signing Tymoschuk and finally bringing on a true DM! (which we needed 2 years ago!)
- Winning #2 spot, securing CL, and potentially keeping Ribery because of it???? TBA...
- Watching Klinsmann, Poldoski, Rensing live up to live up to my doubtful expectations
- Following the CL campaign, until the fateful night at the Nou Camp.
- Hoffenheim matches were good.
- Has anyone considered the season was JINX'd once Landon Donovan stepped on the training pitch in December? :)
(sorry, just couldn't resist. it did seem to be the beginning of the end. coincidence???)
Seriously, though.... a good end to the season given the circumstances.
That is all you can ask for when there is work to be done.
So now... let's get on with the work!!!

My favourite moment was the third goal in Lyon. I really though we were capable of hammering a first-class team in Europe.Me at my most naive...

We would have if Ribery scored that open net goal however he missed the ball. We were absolutely cruising the 2nd half until they scored the 2nd goal, then all hell broke loose. :(

We still rock and no one can touch us. Wolfsburg may have won the battle this year, but look at where we stand in ther war.

No one can touch us, look at our goal difference and total points!

If I we're Donovan, I wouldn't step foot in Germany ever again. There's too much baggage. Nobody in Germany thinks he can cut it there, in spite of his good form and best efforts. If he wants to make it in Europe (which he can), he should go to a smaller league, and one where he doesn't have to deal with negative baggage or biases.
Ya know, Bayern's season wasn't all that bad. 2nd is not bad. Bayern management and fans are spoiled and throw fits when they don't win the whole shebang every year. But we all need to just get over it.
Klinsmann was a bad hire from the start. His style does not fit Bayern's tradition, his ideas were never a good fit, there where too many within the organization who already hated him, and many fans hated him because he's from Stuttgart. Frankly, I was really surprised that Klinsmann took the position. During the 06 WC, and prior qualifications, Hoeness absolutely trashed him in the press, because Klinsmann had the audacity to put Lehmann ahead of Kahn (the right move at the time, as Lehmann was better at that point in time).
Anyway, lack of depth was exposed. Lack of a great DM was exposed. Lack of a great 'keeper was exposed. Bayern Mgt should and will work on those weaknesses.
Finally, Bayern shouldn't hang it's head too low because of the trashing in Barcelona. Barcelona is simply on another plain right now. They manhandled, bitch-slapped, and humiliated ManU (the 2-0 score line didn't tell the whole story - Barca gave a clinic to ManU).
