Despite being a huge Arsenal fan, IMO those early 1990's away kits were not good looking.
I also don't like the current USA home kits with the "fly guy" collar.

You probably don't like South Korea or any of the other CoolMotion team that have the collars.

Brazil doesn't though. They're cooler than us.

My high school team had exact replicas of the Rowdies kits for our uniforms....right down to the yellow and green striped socks. They were so ridiculously ugly, we thought they were cool. Wore them like a red....er... green/yellow badge of courage.

Exactly. Just not crazy about the disco Stu look for soccer uniforms.

worst is chiapas in the Mexican First Division (jauargares- I believe) jaguars in English. Ugly orange uniforms with too many adverts.

By the way the uniforms that are the best are the simplest as MLS is finding out. Real Madrid sets the standard in simplicity with class.

I'll agree with you about Real Madrid's unis. Even with the shirt sponsor (not a big fan of that, but hey, what can you do?), they managed to blend it in where it actually looks good. The thing I'm afraid of with the shirt sponsor is when Barca does it, apparently later this year, according to earlier articles of their web site. They said they will put something worthwhile on the shirt, but I'm afraid it will come out like a certain La Liga team (can't remember who they were) that had the Spanish version of Bad Boys II as their sponsor. Ugly as sin.

Now could MLS teams do that? Doubtful, especially since most of them have their team's names on the front (Fire is the best looking, and contrary to one's opinion of the Metrostars, the look works on the dark jerseys). If they have to do some sort of advertising on the jersey, I'd say limit it to a patch on the sleeve. It keeps it simple, yet gets the message out without cluttering.

Or the "I wanna be like Volfsburg" competition.

Remember when they wore neon green that one year? Yick.

And to think, I nearly held out and bought this.

What about that black ManYoo one from four-maybe-five years ago where they had the faint silver lines across it and a red collar with the buttons on it?

Ahh! Horrid!!

for a company like Nike to court the world of football they seem to have done a crappy job with a kit...

remember in 2000 when both Brazil and Holland had some pretty cool looking shirts and my god were they classy....reminds of the 1970's simple and plain....then as 2001/2002 rolls around they then put all these god awful wedges and stripes unnecessarily, plus what is up with that mesh at the bottom of the shirt...it looks more like half a shirt....i think FIFA ought to revoke them from any kit bid deals they make, they seem screw up a perfectly good shirt...for some useless dumb technical, practical feature that makes no sense!!!!

I know you are probably named after the player and not the club, but ironically, Palermo in Italy's Serie B wear pink jerseys. :D Also, Juventus originally wore pink very early in their history, which is why they have the (very light) pink aways this year.

The Canadian '3rd Jersey' from the mid 90's. It was nearly black except for the fabric on the top of the shoulders. Only saw them wear it once when they played in Sydney against Australia in a 1996 Olympic Qualifier.

The Aussies won 5-0. The last I saw of that jersey was a batch being sold in a store a few years later.

I wondered why FIFA for the PlayStation occasionally outfits Canada in black jerseys!
