No, seriously. This is a simple thing. If the Dimayor were so "creative" in copying the European model of having a national cup besides the league, why not doing it completely? That is having a Supercopa between the winner of the Copa Colombia and the winner of a playoff (unless someone wins two stars in a year) between the two Copa Mustang champions. I know some people see supercopas as nothing more than meaningless friendlies but we could use ours similarly as the Italians are trying to do: for marketing purposes. For example: how about playing abroad? for example in Miami or New York? Or Spain? Obviously, it would be a sucess if it ends up being, say, Nacional-America. But given the current trend i'm afraid it could end up being a Chicó-Equidad which i'm not sure can be so easily marketed to Colombians abroad. But in that case they can just set it up at El Campin or wherever suits everybody best inside Colombia.

dude people dont go to watch equidad or tolima 2 of the best teams in the league... dont think they are going to watch a Super COpa

Lets say that our champion does fairly well in every tournament (playoff, final and semis)....18+6+18+6+2+10+2+2+2 = 66 games in a year and you want to throw in another match... Not likely... That's not even counting if they are in Conmebol tournaments or if they have players in the NT...

First they need to revise Copa Colombia format and wait for the tournie to become a well stablished competition. After that the Recopa is not such a bad idea, but it would have to be played in the offseason, which will make it become another preseason game... Like the idea of playing in Miami or maybe Spain, but you also point out that not too many people would pay to see Equidad - Chico... Yikes!!!!!!

So is Equidad with a youth team is better then the traditional power houses. It took Junior almost being demoted till the team woke up and said o crap and buying G10 to turn the ship. Santa Fe bought over 30 star players in 1 year to fix the ship and even then its taken them 3 years to finally win something.

The recopa is a good Idea and 1 extra game isnt a big deal but I agree dapip lets make the Copa Postobon less of a joke before we have it. Teams use their reserves, currently booked players to wash off yellow cards and youth players. Bigger teams or teams in international player just send teams to lose because they dont care. Also the groups are a joke Junior plays Cartagena who just got promoted and everyone else was 2nd division. theres one group with like 4-5 1st div teams
