Any word if the Crew - Wizard's game scheduled for the 12th will be switched to Sunday in order to offer a double-header with the Nats?

Read the press release.

Read the press release.

The press release is very interesting and everything but I fail to see where it answers my question above.

Did you actually read it yourself before you sent your reply?

Yes, and it said nothing about the MLS game. Based on past experience, such news would have been listed. Also based on past experience, it is also a good idea to wait a few days to see if MLS decides to move the match.

In short: you know everything we do.

Smart way to get a good crowd for Grenada -- sell it as a "series" with the Jamaica game.

You can't be so sure it'll be the Jamaica game the way Haiti's been playing lately.

It may also be a good way to sell the Jamaica/Haiti Wednesday night game. I can drive to Columbus (10 hours) on a weekend without missing work, and catch the Crew/Wiz on the same trip. It will also get lots of tickets sold for that game before Jamaicans/Haitians know who is playing.

However, two ten hour drives midweek doesn't sound nearly as inviting.

Hey Atouk, how's it going?
Yeah I noticed those rankings as well but am gambling on Panama coming through since they are seeded. I bloody hope so because I've cashed in some airmiles and have my ticket to Panama already confirmed. You can't afford to sit on the fence if you're talking airmiles.

Hope all's well with you. Looking forward to these qualifiers. Hope to catch up with you and M at a few of 'em.

I know what you mean about using miles. I've got a Grenada r/t on hold with my US Airways miles and I've got to make a call on that in the next day or so. Think I'm going to go. It's too late to use miles on US Air to go to Jamaica (and the only other 2004 location they go is St. Lucia), so even though away at Grenada won't likely be the greatest game, it'll just cost me $25 to get down there! Hard to pass up.

I don't know if I can make that match. :( My brother graduates med school that Monday in New York and we're having a big party for him on Saturday night in Connecticut. Anyone know if there are flights on Sunday morning from Hartford to Columbus?

And before anyone says "Skip the party and graduation", I can't. My brother and I are the family, so I have to be there.

Southwest 101/2326, leave Hartford at 8:35, change planes at BWI, arrive in Columbus at 12:25. If you're on time and cab it to the stadium, you could make 1:00 kickoff.

That's got to be in the running for understatement of the year. The people in Grenada will probably be so cool to you for coming down there. I've read a few articles saying how excited the country is to get to play a team like the US. You'll probably be treated like royalty.

I think I'm sitting on around 110k miles on Delta. I'm really looking at the Grenada game. Of the three semifinal dates, the Oct 10th is out as my 20 year HS reunion is that weekend. At least it wasn't a home date. That would've been tougher to swallow.

I wonder how many miles it takes to get to Grenada on Delta. If some of my vacation plans don't pan out, I might look at that one or another one of the away qualifiers.

Wouldn't your brother like a nice trip to CBus as a Graduation present? Hell, get him drunk enough in Hartford, keep him drunk on the plane and we'll make sure he stays drunk in Columbus. With any luck the whole thing will be a blank.

With US Airways, they go and return just once per week (on Saturday), so I'd get there the day before the game and stay a whole week!
