With US Airways it's 30K. Looks like it's 30K for Delta too:

With US Airways, they go and return just once per week (on Saturday), so I'd get there the day before the game and stay a whole week!
Thanks for the link. I could go to two away qualifiers in the Caribbean with my wife!

I don't know if I can make that match. :( My brother graduates med school that Monday in New York and we're having a big party for him on Saturday night in Connecticut. Anyone know if there are flights on Sunday morning from Hartford to Columbus?
And before anyone says "Skip the party and graduation", I can't. My brother and I are the family, so I have to be there.

God Bless All of you!
Bill, my brother doesn't drink. Somehow, he inherited the good looks, brains, winning personality, and moral code of my parents. I got the venal morality, addictive personality, soccer fanaticism, and not losing my hair.
I still say I got the better deal. :D
I will look into these flights. Now I have to tell the woman we're having a whirlwind weekend (As opposed to a weekend with Whirlwind).

Sachin, assuming I go to the game, I can probably give you a ride from the stadium back to the airport after the game. Which brings me to my question:
Okay, so I just bought a ticket that has me flying out of CMH at 7:50 on sunday (13) evening. Is there any reason to think I won't make that flight after the game?
I am spending the summer in new york and I figured I'd come in on saturday and then leave sunday.
Also, is there going to be a supporter's section? Never been to a game in CBUS before. thanks - rishi

I was hoping this would be at RFK, but Columbus is cool too. For anyone else in the DC area, southwest has a good deal from BWI---you can leave at 10am, fly direct to CBus in plenty of time for the game, and return that night at 8 (www.iflyswa.com), and it costs about $160. There are cheaper tix but they are routed through other cities and leave at 6am.

Should be more than enough time for a bit of post-match tailgating and the trip to the airport. I'll be on an 8:40 flight, so that's my plan, too.

Going well, thanks. Hope all's well with you. Looking forward to these qualifiers. Hope to catch up with you and M at a few of 'em.
Well I'll defo be up for more quali's next year as I've only just started FT work again a few months ago. That said we're in for at least Panama away and possibly El Salvador at home. I can't seem to find a decent deal for the Grenada Columbus game so I'm going thru the whole rationalisation process right now. Hopefully I'll see you there. Any of the NJB crew out there - you boys up for it??

Sounds intriguing. I'd been thinking of driving...
Is there public transport from/to the airport?

Is there public transport from/to the airport?Nah. You'll have to cab it if you aren't driving. Several DC folks will be on that flight, I expect, so you can probably team up on a taxi.

I thought of that too, but according to Mapquest it's like a six hour drive. Factor in the cost of gas, and probably having to stay in a motel at least one night, and I don't think it costs that much more to fly.

Well since you're going Ed, I guess we'll have to go now - can't pass up a good piss-up with my top boys from the empire state ;). The little lady and myself have just got it sorted and we're bunking at the Doubletree. I know bugger all about Columbus but am there for 3 nights so hopefully there is more to do than I'm thinking (which is just about naff all). Someone PLEASE set me straight here.
Looking forward to catching up with the usual suspects and talking shite about Korea over a couple of jars. Later mate.
P.S. Where's my friggin mug ya tea leaf? ;)

Columbus in June, I don't know.
I know during the semesters, the OSU part of C-bus is a pretty happening and fun place to be.
I think the prelim game plan for the June 13th game is to leave early Fri night/Sat am. Hang out Sat nite in Cbus.... head straight home after the game. Can't get the 14th off....
I'll bring the mug to C-bus
and its the Garden State to you....
