Seeing as how Liverpool is now out of Europe, where will Owen go?
I think that he will join fellow englishman David Beckham at Real, although they don't really need any new strikers, or any other postion for that matter, save for defenders.
Well, that is my opinion, take it or leave it

Hmmm...well, you sort of refuted your own answer there, but okay.
Welcome.

Last I checked, Liverpool were in fourth and positioned to claim the final Champions League spot for next season. Failing that, they still will compete in the UEFA Cup, so Liverpool is not out of Europe next season.
If you're talking about this season, he can't move until the summer transfer window between seasons anyway, not to mention he's obviously "cup-tied" and therefore couldn't play for someone still in Europe even if he could leave today.
I don't know if and/or when Michael Owen will leave Liverpool, but I do know he shares some of the blame for us not still being in Europe this campaign and for us not having a firmer grasp on the final Champions League spot.
Btw, welcome to the boards.

After seeing the way he finished on the weekend against Blackburn, there's a purpose about Michael Owen's play which has been missing during his form slump. Perhaps he's realised that he's partly to blame for the position we find ourselves in, and is trying to do something about it. For the record, I think he'll sign a new contract to stay at Anfield.

I've always thought he would. The two year deal they are talking about is perfect for him. Right after the WC in 2006 he'd be a free man. If he can deliver for LFC and for England he can write his own ticket -- if not we'll keep him around. It will be better for him personally and professionally to stay in England through then. Louise should ask Posh about Spanish side trips.

It was a bit of a surprise for some ManU fans when Becks was reported to be going , and subsequently left for Real. But having said that Mikey seems to be a totally different personality from Beck. Plus there was the Fergie/Beck clash that the Media threw in, that seemed to move events along.
If there is any thought of Mikey going, I think Liverbird's senario could be the most likely.
But then in 2006 Liverpool could be rid of all the bad luck of the past 2 seasons (This and the last) and will be starting to ride the crest of new era , and Mikey would be fighting for a place... ;)
Plus I can't see Posh and Mikey's wife /girl friend getting really cosy. Weekends on the Costa del Sol and jetting to Harrod's for a shopping trip.
Nothing wrong with that, just again, different personalities.

:) I think owen will stay at liverpool this season has been tough but we need to stand behind him. One his day he is amazing! the question is...how often will he be on his day?
