We're now a little more than a quarter of the way into the new season, and I thought it might be fun to predict where the teams in my series will finish using current form, which teams have played, etc. (at the end of the season I'll check back and see how the final results compare, of course). Feel free to add predictions for your own series....
The list is my projected finish order. The first number is the current points (after four games) and the second number is projected points (after 14 games).
Pack, 12, 41
Cerrano, 12, 41
AC Venemous Butterflies, 6, 28
Flatirons FC, 6, 20
Evil Runtities, 7, 19
AC Opatjia, 3, 6
Dark Brood, 1, 2
Zareenstaad, 0, 0

In V.84:
1/2 Brays Bayou FC and Flashotcite -- Flashotcite has a slight edge right now, since they drew in the match at my place.
3. Ole
4. New Bremen Chickens
5. vick tyme's
6. Grand Rapids
7. Stingers
8. Miami Black Birds (or whatever they're called by then)
The battle for relegation could be interesting -- Stingers has been pulling NSIs in the mid-50's, but I'd still characterize them as "soft" since they play a vanilla 4-4-2 and can't win the midfield against the serious teams in the series. New Bremen also plays a vanilla 4-4-2, but they keep games close and get their share of upsets. They could slip to fifth easily enough. Ole is good enough to be dangerous; I don't think they're in the running for promotion after BBFC beat them on the road in week 1, but they might still steal second.

They can't both get 41 points. Heck, nobody can get 41 points, and the most a pair of teams can tie with is 39.

Not gonna mess with the points either
1. MoKan Mighty Bastards
2. Raytown Rangers 82
3. Island Jazz
4. Adrenaline Rush
5. Red Mambas
6. Timbuktu Rockets
7. Ramblin's Wreck
8. Boise Allstars
1-3 was hard for me to pick, because the 1st team while good, is going to be interesting, because he can be beat, the team in 3rd is good now, but I think once they play me, and MoKan back to back, it's going to knock them down a little.
4-6 was hard for me to pick, the three of them all could finish anwhere in that group of 3

I want first but, if I was a betting man, I'd say... Keep in mind that 1-3 could be very close.
1. Ginobili
2. Final Strike
3. Mongrel FC (my saving grace is I have #1 and #2 at home to finish the season)
4. BC Strikers
5. Cosmos United
6. The Crimson Pheonixes
7. Maratitans
8. D - team just taken over

This really is kinda silly for me to do, but:
Series VI.809
1. Dynamo KC 42 pts
2-8 various bot teams.
I don't think I will see a human in this division till late or at all.

No, they won't put a human in there for a year or two if they continue the current pattern of series changeover in division VI.

After looking over the rest of the matches in my series, I've revised my prediction.
My expectations are that from today's stadings,
1-Final Strike-15pts
2-Mongrel FC-10pts
3-Ginobili-10pts
4-BC Strikers-10pts
5-Crimson Pheonixes-6pts
6-Cosmos United-4pts
7-MaraTitans2-3pts
8-Duri FC-0pts
I think it will finish:
1-Mongrel FC-37pts
2-Final Strike-36pts
3-Ginobili-34pts
4-BC Strikers-22pts
5-MaraTitans2-12pts
6-Cosmos United-10pts
7-Crimson Pheonixes-9pts
8-Duri FC-0pts
But I need Ginobili to defeat Final Strike in week 10, and I need to defeat Final Strike at home in week 12 and Ginobili at home in week 14. Ginobili has the best talent, but hasn't been getting the best results. Final Strike MOTS'd them to win at their place this week against Ginobili. That might open things up for a surprise result against Final Strike from one of our lesser contenders.
Newcomer Duri FC could shake things up in the bottom tier if he spends wisely and gets some impact players. But he's shown little activity other than buying a striker before our match this past weekend. For that matter, anyteam could cash in for an impact player.
I'm staying put for now, hoping to save the dough for a stadium expansion to 30k, and then ride the profits to be able to buy a serious coach. So unless I get greedy and buy an star player, that's what I'm doing. I've already shored up my defense by buying a solid defender with experience for the second half of the season - he's currently injured. I'm hoping to spring him on my competition in the latter half of the season.

Currently my series looks like this:
Series: IV.28 (645)
Country: USA
Team Points
1. Paranoia 11
2. Scouser Tommies FC 10
3. Salmon For All 10
4. Tazmaniacs 9
5. Atoms 9
6. Red Herrings 4
7. Selma Sumorats 3
8. De Vette Nijlpaarde 0
As you can see 2 points separate #1 through 5. Paranoia was last season's #1 and stuttered at the beginning of this season but just beat me and Atoms in the last two weeks.
Red Herrings finished second last season but has lost 3 in a row and is in disarray and my next opponent (away). I have never won there in three seasons. So he is stronger than he looks.
De Vette Nijlpaarde and Selma will finish 8 and 7 respectively. Paranoia will finish #1. After that it's a crap shoot.
I would love to finish second but Salmon has been surging and got a 80 plus rating on hatstats recently. I have never got in the high 70s.
However, my midfield is second in the series to Paranoia.
If you want some entertainment these next 8 weeks ht-live some of our matches it's one helluva series this season.
I predict
1. Paranoia
2. Scouser Tommies (what the hell, I can do it!!)
3. Salmon
4. Atoms
5. Tazmaniacs
6. Red Herrings
7. Selma Sumorats
8. DVN

Well, my outlook is the same. I did not expect the newly created #8 team defeating #7 away though. They pulled off a 4-3 win after buying a new GK (who was injured in this game), a backup GK, a nice Forward and a Winger. All that being said, he spent 400k I believe - no trainees, no arena expansion, no coach I assume. Will be interesting to see how he fares. Doesn't really change my predictions much.
Almost got a couple of nice Easter presents as both the #1 and #3 teams were losing to their competition. I'm hoping they'll both falter once as well as lose to me. But if they both lose to me and I run the tables from here on out. First place is mine. But that won't happen till almost the end of the season.
Also, I've got two strikers in the lead for the scoring title. My stud who got off to a late start is catching the #1 and I expect him to surpass the #1. But it's nice to know I've got two at the top. I would have rather played another striker in place of my #1 but since the #1's doing so well in the scoring race, I'm leaving him right where he is.

Series: VI.130 (27466)
Country: USA
Level: 6 out of 6
Team Played Goals Points
1. Big Daddys 8 43 - 10 24
2. Real Sociedad 0052 8 27 - 11 21
3. Albito FC 8 24 - 18 15
4. FC Clydesdales 8 23 - 15 12
5. Bay County Blues 8 21 - 32 9
6. Norge Vikings 8 16 - 24 6
7. Madison Maulers 8 11 - 27 6
8. AngerManagement 8 5 - 33 3
Those are current standings... here are my predictions:
1. Big Daddys - No one can stop them!!
2. Real Sociedad - Another good team, but can't beat Big Daddys
3. Albito FC - I really think I'm better than this team (I beat them earlier in the season) but they are off to a great start and that might be able to allow them to hold their high ranking.
4. Norge Vikings - I think I finally figured this game out and have gotten most of my tough games out of the way while some of the teams above me still have to duke it out with each other, this can only be good for me. :D
5. FC Clydesdale - A new owner took over in the middle of the season and has gotten FC on the right track, but most likely it is too late to rally for a top position in the league.
6. Madison Maulers - This is the only guy who does any press announcements, unfortunately his team is terrible and he only has bad news to report. Currently on a 5 game losing streak, and it doesn't look to get better.
7. Bay County Blues - Bay County has been unimpressive so far and should make even less noise in the 2nd half of the season.
8. AngerManagement - A new owner in the middle of the season and the worst roster in the league. These guys still have a long way to go before they get out of the cellar.

This looks fun... VI.82 AKA The Dex is Going Up Division.
Current Standings
------------------G-GF-GA-P
1.Heavy Water FC-8 49 - 9 24
2.Unda Dawgs-----8 40 - 10 21
3.ilovemygirlfriend-8 23 - 12 18
4.Brazes----------8 11 - 30 9
5.Junior Bears-----8 8 - 19 7
6.Robin Club-------8 8 - 24 5
7.Cave Creek FC---8 4 - 25 5
8.pgh kickers fc----8 9 - 23 4
1.) If I beat Unda Dawgs in two weeks. I will win 14 in a row.
2.) Unda Dawgs is capable of beating me. I beat him 5-4 in his house a few weeks ago. Undadawgs is better than ILMGF
3.) Ilovemygirlfriend- just a little better than everyone else
4.) PGH Kickers - A newbie to the division, bad luck saw him spawn into the last place team. He is getting the hang of it fast. He will contend for promotion next season
5.) Brazes another newbie... coming along, but not as well as PGH
6.7.8) Cave Creek's manager isn't paying attention...they might not last the season... the same goes for Junior and Robin club...
Autopromotion here I come.. I'm on pace to score eighty goals this season. =)

Right now, vick tyme's is sitting in 4th but pulling horrible ratings, so I can't see them finishing higher than 5th. Grand Rapids/Stingers is the fight that I expected, it may come down to their second game against one another. Ole is pretty much out of the running after losing one to Flashotcite, and Brays (me) is back in the driver's seat in the division after Flashotcite lost the return match with ole this week. If I can take points in week 11, it shouldn't even come down to goal differential; if I can steal a win and avoid any upsets, I'm positioned to autopromote.

Well at the midpoint, I am doing pretty well predicting, the only problem, is that Red Mambas are doing poorly this season, and are currently in relegation position in seventh, just move TR and RW up one spot each and move RM to 7th and that's my league. Pretty good job guessing so far. :)

I took over #1 as expected. Well, I figured there'd be a three way tie for first anyway. I knew I'd need a good goal differnetial. Right now I'm 8 better than the #2 team. I've now been in 1st place for two weeks. I hope to win my tough game at home against the previous #1 this week. The cruise to a victory next week prior to the showdown between me and the #2 ranked division IV relegated team at my place.
Racking my brain trying to decide how to play this week. MOTS/Normal? My competition will almost be completely healthy for the first time in three weeks. Thankfully it's a home game.
I think it will finish:
1-Mongrel FC-37pts
2-Final Strike-36pts
3-Ginobili-34pts
4-BC Strikers-22pts
5-MaraTitans2-12pts
6-Cosmos United-10pts
7-Crimson Pheonixes-9pts
8-Duri FC-0pts

here are my standings with 3 weeks left
1. MoKan Mighty Bastar 11 45 - 7 30
2. Raytown Rangers 21
3. Island Jazz 19
4. Adrenaline Rush 19
5. Timbuktu Rockets 17
6. Ramblin' Wreck 10
7. Red Mambas 8
8. guacaranchavez 4
I'm basically right on track with my predicitions, even though no one has been relegated yet, guacaranchavez is on it's way down, he just got the team and it's not very good. I'm the only team that can still catch MoKan, but that's only if I win out, improve my GD, and MoKan loses his last three. I have clinched at least a qualifier this year though, and at least 5th place if I'm doing the math right. I have Red Mambas this week away, then Timbuktu at home and Guacaranchavez away, I should finish those three with wins, Timbuktu is my main worry but I figure I'm at home, and a MOTS should win it for me. Then with TS resenting I may MOTS again for fun against guacaranchavez
