This is my second series in Hattrick, I stumbled on it on the web somehow.

found hattrick thru a friend, than quickly found the BS thread for some very helpful info. Have fallen in love with hattrick, very addicting. The season I joined I rallied to finish 5th and avoid relegation. Finished 5th in my first full season (last season), got a good training program going...and this yr I'm looking at finishing 4th as my league has thinned out a bit and my team has improved a good deal.

OK, lesson #1 -- NEVER play a 10-0-0. In fact, never play any formation with four CDs, IMs, or forwards. It costs you training, and training will provide the majority of your income.

Lesson #2 -- read the rules, in particular section 14, The Player. It'll tell you what's important for what positions, which will help you set a good lineup.

You probably should avoid using the special tactics until you've been in the game a little longer. They're really more good for special situations than general use.
