Pick it up here guys. We'll let this thread run a bit longer than usual because of all the crazy activity expected during the transfer window.

that'd be a bit hard to navigate?
unless you can expand the bar with the page numbers right to be right across the width of the page

I wouldn't do it for every thread, but for these threads? Besides, I just changed my settings to have more posts per page.

you're saying it would be done if u had the power?
i think its great cos some people (cough, bmike, cough, co..) dont read much and fast moving threads like this are an inconvenience if you can only click 3 pages at a time

Van Gaal’s tenure at AZ Alkmaar from 2005-9 marked the coach’s return both to his roots and to winning ways. He also travelled a personal road to Damascus, suddenly switching AZ to a 4-4-2 formation rather than the 4-3-3 he had favoured his entire career. “He turned his back on his former religion and founded a new one. He’s taken Total Football and translated it for the modern world. Let’s call it Total Football 2.0,” wrote the Guardian.
so it means we will play 442, our traditional formation. I just wonder if we buy one more AM, Diego..., then who's gonna take the other spot in MC. In logic, It should be Tymo but Bommel has a good relationship with our new coach. It'll be a tough question for him.

That won't happen. Why would it? Two different players.

They can still play together. It would actually be a complimentary partnership.

I would like say a few words to defend our captain MVB. It is true that he has not been playing up to world class or good defensive football at his position. However, you must take notice that he has not been playing at his natural position in the last 2 seasons. He sacrificed for the team to play at an akward position for himself. That's why he hasn't been playing so well.
Now, you have to remember that he is a good distributor of the ball and he is good at doing long passes and straight passes that penetrate the defence. Moreover, he can shoot really well. Personally, i think he is better than Ballack at important moments. Most of you probably still remember when Ballack was playing in the champions league for us. If he had buried all the empty net and one on one chances that he had, we would have triumphed over Chelsea. But he was not successful at all. On the contrary, MVB bascially saved our ass against real madrid. He can stand up and be the player at important times. THis is what matters.
I can't wait to see him next season playing his attacking role again.

van Bommel has a "good relationship" with van Gaal? What are you basing that on?
The fact they're both Dutch??
