Thanks. So I've switched my training to PM, but it was set at Stamina before my friendly. Will my 10 midfielders (split across both games) all get PM training or will the friendly guys get Stamina and this weekend's guys get PM?

I'm kinda confused by the "updates", when they are scheduled and what exactly they update.

No, you can change your training a million times during the week and everyone will get trained in whatever you have the training set at the time of the update... which is at 9:30PM eastern time tonight. Don't rush right in and check to see if anybody popped though... it usually takes a while for changes to take place... i usually don't bother checking till 9:45 or so.

You can go to the USA national page and you can find all the updates and their times there.

The important ones are the training update 9:30pm thursday and the economic updates which are on saturdays at 7:30pm (this is also when your youth pull for the week becomes available).

Daily updates are somewhat variable.

Ohhhhh, ok. So the games on Sunday start the week, then there's a friendly (possibly), and THEN the update. So my 5 players from the friendly will get PM training for this week, then my game Sunday will start the week's process over again.

In other words, the friendly is for players who didn't play in the game, NOT the players that won't play in the "upcoming" game.

I hope that makes sense!

Sounds like you've got it. As far as training is concerned, the new week starts after Thursday night's updates.

No it wont. Wingers get 50% playmaking training regardless of their orientation.

Sexual or otherwise :D

Correct on all points, the game this Sunday will be the start to the new week.

That was the only reason I had suggested stamina this week, because it allows you to train everyone, even if they did not play in the league game this week, but it's your team so do what you will.

I actually think I am going to do stamina, because the 5 guys who would be getting a head start in PM training aren't even my "top 5" guys. A week of stamia for the whole team could be very beneficial.

I just wanted to make sure that my training choice was only for this week, and I have two games to get guys in next week...which I do. Stamina it is!

Not only that, but those playmakers you are selling would be a lot more valuable with better stamina.

I feel like this has been asked before but I can't find it anywhere...

When do you feel is the best time to sell / buy a player.

I believe someone said Thursday around 11AM (or you get Sweden during Sunday Dinner) but I'm not sure.. looking to move a trainee and want to make sure I can make as much cash as possible...

Well I just got my first team, Villanova FC. What should be my first order of business?

1 more... if you train stamina does the whole team get training or only the players who play during the week? I'm thinking only those who play but I wanted to check.

Thanks againa guys. Y'all have been a big help in getting my team to the middle of IV :)

LaBella: All players will get training, regardless of playing time that week. I usually put a player up around the 1 - 2 PM Central time. That makes around 8-9 PM in Sweden.

I am assuming you have read this thread, cause it is an excellent (or maybe divine) resource for a new player. Lots of good advice to get you started. Also, read the Hattrick rules.

Well, you see ... I haven't read much of the thread, and it shows. I lost my first match 11-1. Well at least it can't get much worse, right?

Can you retract a bid for a player once you have made it?

I just took over a squad that's in dead last in a VI division with 9 games left. My coach is "weak" and my team in general is crap. What I've done so far is I've hired a couple of coaches, a spokesperson, pulled a crap player, and elevated my training budget to 10 k a week.

My plan for the rest of the season is to play it prudent. However what should my primary concerns be?

My guess is that it comes down to answering the following 3 questions.

Should I axe this coach and shell out 180k for one who is "passable"?
What should my training budget/style be?
Should I be concerned about ensuring that I do not get regulated or should my focus be solely on development?

Also I was challenged to a match in England? How much would that cost to accept?

Thanks much,
Jon

$6000 to play an International Friendly away from home.

Training & selling players is the way to make money, so buying a passable trainer is highly recommended. This will help your trainees to "pop" to the next skill level a few weeks sooner.

You can't get relegated to a lower division because Div. VI is the lowest in US.

Danks make sure you are playing your players in their correct positions. You have an 18 year old with the highest TSI on your team yet he got zero stars in your last league match playing as a defender.

Logic tells me he is not a defender but has good skills elsewhere. What is his highest skill and in what skill area?

Back on the coaching issue, some would say fire him right away, others would say wait. I'd say wiat just so you don't blow all your money ato nce and you may not have "trainable" players anyway.

not sure bout this, i stayed with the same coach for a long time, too long. its probably a better idea to upgrade to a passable but at this point you dont have to have a coach with confidence above poor.

What should my training budget/style be?

this is whats going to make you the most money. look at your team and see which young guys (under 20 preferably) have good skills and if theres a lot with the same then its prob a good idea to train that skill. i train midfield along with prob most of the hattrick world. its a good skill to train because you can have fairly flexible positions. if you want to train something else just buy some trainees
Should I be concerned about ensuring that I do not get regulated or should my focus be solely on development?

DEVELOPMENT!!!! hate to say it but your at the bottom of the barrel dude. you cant be relegated so your concern your team soley with training. buy some young trainees at whatever you want to train and go for it.

Also I was challenged to a match in England? How much would that cost to accept?

$6,000. its said to give you more experience but i think you should focus soley on buying trainees. good luck dude

fraid not. you can ask the seller to raise the price over yours with a promise to buy later but prob won't happen, itll cost him money to do that

No, but tell us who you bid on, maybe someone here can outbid you. We all have money to spare :)
