Thanks Chris.

One thing that I have never gotten, is why that those people that play qualfiers can have an extra game to play players in and get more training. It just seems unfair that the teams in 5-6 get an extra game, or 1 get an extra game to get training while we don't. I know this was discussed in the conferences, but I just don't see how fair that is. It could just be me though.

Really, the trade-off is this:
If you finish in 1st and don't have a qualifier, you autopromote and don't have to beat a good team (at their place) to try to advance a division.
If you finish in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, you don't have to play for your place in the series against what may be a highly motivated 1st place team from the lower division -- one that could even be a lot better than you, if they're coming from an evil series -- risking demotion.
If you finish in 7th or 8th, you're punished for the poor finish, and this might be the most unfair of the lot.

I sympathize with the position that neither case outweighs the lost income from the lost training, but you don't get nothing from not having the qualifier.

Wow.. didn't know I would play a qualifier. As I'm not ready for Div 5 I'm thinking I should "try to lose" and play a couple of my trainees... I might lose a couple of supporters but I'm better off in the long run.

do we split the $ form the qualifier? that would be awesome...

I have a moral problem with teams that throw games, but it's your team, so do what you will. And AFAICR, I think qually income is split.

When you switch your training regimen, do you lose any of your progress?

Well, in that you don't get training in whatever you used to be training anymore... yeah.

A player who was 75% trained in PM will not start off 75% trained in defending.

What if a guy is 75% PM and I switch to something else for a few weeks. Only to switch back to PM later. Will the fella resume training at 75%?

Your players actually get that training & improve their playmaking skill every week - whether they pop to the next level or not.

So changing training just means you're teaching a different skill to different players now.

I'm training PM and my IM's are getting a full "1.00" week's worth of training, but my wingers are only getting "0.40." What gives, I thought the wingers are supposed to get 0.5

They are getting the full 50%. buddy just says 40 by default, not sure why.

When is the deadline to change training?

Any time before the training update at 3:30 ht-time on Thursday, so around 8:30 pm Thursday, but if you are gonna change, change before then.

Next season, I plan on selling some high profile keepers for the first time.

I'm going to be updating my roster big time, with better players and I would like to know what qualities in a player bring down TS. All of my pick ups last season hurt my TS.

Players hurting TS...
A player's Agreeability affects the likelihood that a player bought off of the transfer list will hurt your team spirit. Nasty is the most likely, while popular is the least likely.

Just because you buy a nasty player, doesn't mean that TS will drop. It is more likely though.
Just because you buy a popular player, doesn't mean that TS will not drop. It is more likely that it won't drop though.

In general, I wouldn't recommend worrying about TS when you buy players. You should be making purchases infrequently enough that it won't be a big deal anyway.

I'm expecting to have about 300k to spend in a week or three.

Should I:

A) expand my stadium. I have 7000 seats. I fully expect to be spanked until my a$$ glows ... so I probably won't sell out much ... but I don't have any covered seats or a VIP section. Going to 10000 would set me back about 100k.

B) Buy a solid coach.

C) Buy one or two nice trainies. The guys I have now are fine ... mostly. I made a couple of questionable purchases in my initial euphoria. It might be nice to pick up an 18 yr old solid or pass/pass playmaking/short passes.

D) Invest in my team so as to get less spanked. Currently all but one team in my series are 6-8 stars better than me ... is there hope or should I just invest in soothing butt balm?

My priorities are maximum economic return in one or two seasons and hopefully staying up (although I haven't much hope).
