Another question about confusion: if the match report doesn't mention confusion, does that mean there was no effect whatsoever?
I believe that is correct. No news is good news. :)

In the weekly training threads, everybody lists their change in form and TSI. I was wondering what the most common software people are using to keep track of such things.

I think most of us are using Hattrick Buddy (http://www.hattrickbuddy.de/). (Primarily because it's free.)

The bolded part is the only reason that I got buddy, other then to see how my team changed. And if it wasn't free, then I would not be using it.

I use HAM (www.lokesoftware.dk/ham). It's the best by far, though it's not free. I paid €7.50 (±$9) about 15 months ago and I think it was worth it.

How many Assistant Coaches should i buy? i'm currently training Forwards, and it's been like 4 weeks and only 3 of my trainees have gotten any training and only one week of it at that, right now i have 2 assistant coaches and i am wondering if that is the source of the problem.

You can have up to 10 combined Asst. Coaches & Keeper Coaches. If you're training field players, you should have at least 8 Assistants. Usually it is suggested that you hire a keeper coach or two to keep your Goalkeepers in form. Don't go over 10 total or you risk not getting any training at all.

As of October 1st, Buddy goes shareware. I believe it is going to $8 or so. If you get a group of people together, the per license price goes down.
For more information, i recommend joining the CHPP buddy-Hattrick forum on the conferences.

I use hattrick buddy, but I also really like www.tomattrick.org ... mostly for its team overview and purty lineup interface.
Buddy is better to see the result of trainings and I really like the value comparison tool.

eight bucks isnt bad, especially if it is a one off deal. Think about some of the stuff you pay eight bucks for every week.

Yeah if it's a one off deal then I'd probably spend the 8 bucks on it, but I'm a poor college student I have the right to complain. ;)

How does the off-season work? I read recently that friendlies continue but also I've seen "qualifiers" referred to. Are these Cup Qualifiers?
And when does team spirit reset? I'd like to play MOTS for my final game as I think it is winnable, but don't want to sink my chances in the Cup qualifiers by doing so.

Not cup qualifiers... Your presence in the cup is deteremined by how your team ranks over all.
We're talking about promotion/relegation qualifiers. Finishing #7 or #8 is automatic relegation. Finishing #5 or #6 means you have to play a playoff game against one of the series winners from the division below you. Half of the #1 teams promote automatically, the "worst" of the first place teams play a qualifier against those #5 and #6 teams in the division above them.

I bet Helghallen will reproduce the offseason schedule shortly....
Team Spirit resets in the offseason right before the first cup match. Don't worry about it. You'll be furious during your offseason friendlies, but big deal. MOTS away! Nothing to lose unless you will be in 1st or 5th/6th playing in a promotion/relegation qualifier.
