My cup lineup... a number of injuries to my players...

PUcedo, GBeliy

Here was my starting lineup this week:

Hövel - Vogeler, Puig, Barrero - Lockwood, Cooke, Chit-Fu, Bales - Lara, Portillo, Bourque.

Also the following players are injured: Bailey, Benitez
Plus Lily is my coach, so he is NOT playing... ever

therefore my roster of 20 men is really only 17 and thus, by taking away my starting 11, there are only 6 'subs' to play in the friendly, meaning I HAVE to use at least 5 starters from my league match. Just letting everyone know so I don't get screwed over again and only get 1 point for my victory...

Cup line-up here:
Storey
Boellaard - Eriksen - Moore
Sierra - Guerra - Teuschl - Bernhardsson - Luke
Shi-An - Logan

injuries still to one of my wingers, causes me to put one of my starters in the lineup again.

to me, if we do this next season...set a minimum for squads that have 22 players (this allows for coach/injuries) and then go with a max of 3 players from the previous league match playing BS cup matches midweek.

anyway, this was my lineup (8-2 win!) in the league:

Errico
Bredner, Wheeler, James
Jenkins, Liano, Al-Rida, Martinez
Orozco, Odom, Malaussene

likely to use 1 player in the BS Cup match vs dc untied...

I agree with that, we need to set some more rules for the tournament so that we can make it run better and without all these problems.

I don't want to exclude anyone if we can avoid it though. Maybe we could set up two divisions for the newer teams?

Navarro Aparicio - Pfeiffer, Lynn, Duff - Hays, Griggs, Rammo, Kelly, Hjerttorp - Ochoa, Wiebusch.

Duff will be playing with Kelly and Ochoa on the bench. I am within the rules correct?

I think the rules stated up to 4 starters.

Yup. But we need to run it once to find out what sorts of unexpected problems there are. And even with more rules, I predict that there will be new problems next year!

Ok, last night I was just looking around the transfer market for guys will good stamina and at least passable at their main skills and found two guys for under $10k each so I bought them. Plus Benitez has recovered from his injury so I will be able to field a team within the limited number of starters.

The Dynamo squeaked out the win against the Red Knights. The midfields were nearly identical. Wow. Nice game AT3. Final game against the 'Hawks next week.

good game to you too. Kinda close near the end. Even had a set piece goal(a header).

Now to wait for DC Unitied to challenge me. If there has been no challnge by say Sunday's match, then it is a walk over? If I am not challenged by tomorrow when i get out of school, I will challnege United and wait.

My game against Norge ended 2-2 in regulation. Went to overtime and no one had scored yet. PK's came and went. Panatha scored all five penalty kicks and their keeper blocked all five of Norge's. Good game.

Panatha 7-2 Norge

By the way, I just accepted the friendly against Scouser. Just wanted everyone to know.

(walks into the room head down in disgrace)well that sucked, with Scouser having such a better midfield, I thought maybe I would try CA, shows how much that worked for me. That and I lost a mid trainee for a week, and a forward for four, not a good game at all, I've challenged Norge to a friendly, just waiting for him to accept. I had ht-mailed ur_land about the knock out round, here is how it will go
Quarters
1. #1 first place vs. #2 third place
2. #1 second place vs. #2 second place
3. #2 first place vs. #1 third place
4. #3 first place vs. #3 second place

Semis
a. winner 1 vs. winner 2
b. winner 3 vs. winner 4

Final
winner a vs winner b

Third
loser a vs. loser b

just thinking about it, wouldn't it be cool if you could have a matched scheduled at a neutral venue? I just thought about that when thinking about the final, wouldn't that be a good thing to have to choose from?

Anyways, my site is updated, all the one seeds have been decided, although Panatha can still win the group, the GD is too great to over come. In both A and C all three remaining teams have a shot at second, A could get pretty ugly with a win by Dallas and Dynamo next week, giving all three of them four. Whoever wins between me and Norge next week will knock Flatirons out of waiting for a 3 seed, as we both would pass his three point output. I now badly need to win the game next week to retake second place in the group. (turns and sadly leaves the room after the severe beating Scouser gave me.)
