so who's in charge of the BS Cup??...are we moving on in Group A to the 2nd round matches (and leaving all matches vs dc untied as forfeit wins?)...someone make the call.

2nd the motion

I've been kind of standing on the sideline to see if group A could sort thing out themselves (and y'all have done a pretty good job of it). Not that mine is that final word, but I would say go ahead with the 2nd round games, leave games w/ DC temporarily as forfits, but keep an open mind if he come back soon and wants back in, b/c I've been reading a few messages on the Hattrick conferences that the friendly system is currently a little screwed up.

hey--this is my 100th post!

Ordinarily I would say, yeah, go ahead. However, KS and I have scheduled a friendly because of the challenge bug and his leaving on spring break. I say forfeit the first round and let him pick up the 2nd round next week if he wants.

not bad. I had challenged spiro to match and maybe the glitch ruin the friendly. So next week I'll change one of the other guys.

So what is the deal with this week's matches?

The friendly glitch may have screwed things up, but PLEASE try your best to schedule and play your second round matches. If this is not possible, we'll catch up next week, but let's try to not throw things into too much havoc, ok?

Norge Vikings and I have set up our match

So at least we will catch up with all of you by getting our first round match in.

I am back in town after a trip to DC and ready to inject some life into my team as they have been loafing around in my absence.

If the plan is to continue with the 2nd round of the cup next week and we know that Red Knights and DC Untied can't play their 1st round game this week, do give Untied a forfeit loss and continue from there? I ask only because I have to play the Red Knights next week if we continue in the 2nd round.

It seems to me Red Knights gave DC Untied every opportunity to set up the match.

Red Knights should be given the 3 points and move onto the next round of matches. Just my 3 cents.

This is my thinking as well.

Ah, the second round is almost upon us. The players of Mongrel FC are already packing their bags in anticipation of playing HeavyWater FC. The team is a little worried as the opposing arena has no lights whatsoever. The locals/players glow in the dark and can play by the radiant energy cast from their living bodies. Once the sun goes down, Mongrel FC may be at a disadvantage. Hence the team's desire to get up early and then bunker once the night falls. Thankfully, the game takes place in Alabama (right?) so the sun will be up an hour longer than what is usually afforded here in Atlanta. In preperation for the game, Mongrel FC owner, AAGunner3 had his team practice in the dark at the Savannah River Site, near his hometown. The practices held in the presence of weapons grade plutonium might just be enough to keep Heavywater's advantage to a minimum. Already, series V.188 scoring leader, Jochen Deiter, is rumored to have eyes in the back of his head and an uncanny nack of beign able to swivel his body unnaturally in his scoring attempts. Even the formerly injured Paco Ucedo seems to have healed sufficiently over the past week to be available for this week's BS Cup matchup.

As the only other player on here to have played in the hovel that is Heavy Water's stadium I can only warn you of one thing. And one thing only ..

Beware ......

I'm not going to be picky. So I'm going to leave it up to you guys.

However now that we know what is going on, I am ready for next week. Tomorrow I will issue the challenge.

Despite a close game at half-time (1-1), I'm finally pulling away from Heavywater FC with a score of 5-1 in the 60th minute.

But the real game is between Flatirons FC and Daverules FC. DRFC has come back from a 2 goal deficit to tie it at 4 apiece in the 73rd minute.

Dynamo KC looks to be pulling away from Raytown Rangers at 3-1. Still a lot of time left though for that one to get interesting.

I like winning, but it was a meaningless game for RR and I. Mongrel pulls out the win, very nice. Didn't realize there was a third game with Flatirons FC and Dave Rules.

Unfortunatley my scrubs just aren't up to the task of beating everyone elses scrubs.

The difference that two solid play makers with high stamina and a solid winger with good passing make.

Ho hum.

This game was my first experience with giving up a big lead. I was up 4-1 midway through the first half, and ended up losing 5-4. Crap. Oh for some stamina and some form for my reserve midfielders.

OK--let's try to get this tourney back on track. Who actually played their games?

This is what the Dynamo Web page lists as the results after the games tonight. I believe it's correct. PM me if you see a problem. Group B needs to hold off playing games next week and let the rest of the groups catch up.

Mongrel and Daverules have taken command of group B, having won two games each. The showdown in Round 3 will give the winner a leg up on the group.

DRK has taken command of group A because of the walkover win over Untied, but round 2 will prove interesting because of the matchup with the 2nd place Dynamo.

Nothing has really emerged from Group C as yet. A +4 GD has both the Tommies and Rangers atop the standings, only Rangers higher "goals for" puts him at the top.
