So we are taking 2 points from DC then? For both of his matches against Riverhawks that he won? If so I will have the site updated later this week, probably after the cup games this week, as I am currently in Iowa visiting people at school.

Dynamo wins 2-1 against a tough Riverhawks team. Saw some great matches in addition to my own, including the Cyclones pull out their quarterfinal against Elwood and Indy Racing.

Does Group A sit out next week while Group C finishes next week?

I would assume that you guys wait a week too, but I'm not sure, ask the commish

The Rangers moved themselves into the knockout round with a win over Norge. I stand on 5 points, Norge can't catch me, so I can't finish lower then third, and I moved ahead of Flatirons on points.

Are we docking DC a point again for their win over Dallas? If so DC still advances on gd as a third place team. The last two teams left to have a shot are Norge and Panatha in Group C, the rest is just on placing now. Scouser can take the 2nd seed with a win, and a huge win over Norge would give him the first seed. Norge needs to beat Scouser next week to get into the knock out round. A win by me next week at Panatha, and I take second and the 2nd number 2 spot meaning a match up with Daverules.

Yes, group A sits out a week as we wait for group C to finish.

Because of the delays, the semis and finals will have to only be one leg, so we can fit them all in, right?

Also, DC Untied used 9 players tonight (against Dallas Red Knights) that were used in this week's league game. Dock him one point and add one pont to DRK. He has 17 on his roster, which means he should at least have used 6 reserve players.

How many goals do I need to score? I like a challenge! :D

Looks like 8. Why bother, you couldn't score 8 if Norge gave you 7 freebies. ;)

Actually it may only be 7, Mongrel is sitting at plus 27, Scouser is at plus 21. Winning by six next week would give Scouser plus 27, but Mongrel would get number 1 by goals for. So Mark you need to win by 7 or more. Shouldn't be too hard you beat me pretty bad both times.

DC has been docked their points, but as I said they go on due to plus 3 GD compared to negative 7 for Flatirons and negative 8 for DRK. They are the first team to know their spot in the next round, they are the number 8 seed, the last place team.

The web page is updated, check out what's going on.

And so I get this right, the Quarters are still home-home right? Then the semi's are at the home of the higher seed, same with the finals and third place game right?

I believe according to the original rules, first tiebreaker is goals scored. That is why I figured 8 goals.

And lower seed hosts game.

that was a good match....and if things break right looks like we'd meet yet again in the knockout stage as the #3 second place and #3 first place teams...

if anyones interested in a friendly, looking to fill a game while group A has its week off...

Oh, smack from the guy I introduced the game to a full season ago.

Oh, there's gratitude for you!

First I introduce you to the wonders of Golden Tee and now you kick my butt in that game.

Now it's Hattrick and you think you're gonna take me down here too.

I don't think so.

I see the future and it's a Scouser Tommies v Dynamo KC showdown in the final baby. You are going down sucka!

Oh and can I still get a ride in your car to Columbus in June for the USMNT game? Please? I'll let you win the BS Cup :D

Hey Mark, Chris, there is a thread for the two of you to talk smack you know. I mean remember that thread, Mark should, he ripped me a new one in it. And unless you do score 8 goals, you are not going to be playing in the finals, you'll meet in the semis. If things fall into place next week, here is how the Quarters would break down, and let's say you don't score 8 goals AGAIN Mark.

Mongrel vs. DC Untied
Daverules vs. Raytown Rangers 82
Dynamo KC vs. Riverhawks
Scouser Tommies vs. Panatha

You two would meet in the semi's leaving me to beat the two teams from group B to play one of you in the finals

A point for next season's cup, but this should have been set up so you didn't face someone from your own group in the next round. Kinda like the way the WC and Champions League keep teams apart from the same groups.

Panatha again???

If Chris and I meet in the semis, finals or anywhere there will be a whole forum devoted to the smack talk, I have Huss on it already! ;)

Yes, the quarters are still H and H, with the semi's and finals (and 3rd place) at the home of the higher seed. THis may be something we want to change for next year. I had originally wanted to schedule the semis and final as H and H as well, but b/c of the delays that won't work out.

For the knockout round, we're going to go on aggregate goals scored for both legs. The tiebreaker is away goals. If anyone (other than DC untied) uses more than 4 players from thier league game, they will be docked 1 goal/player. DC Untied is allowed to use 5 players that were starters. It might be nice for his opponent to HT-mail him and remind him of that. If anyone does not accept a challenge, it will be a 3-0 walkover.

I just noticed that both of my matches against Scouser were 3-1 losses. Everyone else lost by four times the amount of goals I did!!!!! w000000t!!!!

That'll be nice to read. Of course it won't matter, my team will pull out their A game in the finals and I'll win it all. (Tries to stop laughing while I type that)

I did notice it, but just felt like it was important to realize I lost by only two goals both games compared to the 5+ the other teams lost by.
