Not an MLS news but according to lequipe website Le trophée des champions will be played in Montreal this year. The french league wants to attract the 2nd french speaking city in the world and the north america market

I saw someone make a joke saying that Guingamp doesnt have the budget to be able to make it to Montreal. At least if OM is there they will have a lot of fans.

A few of the comments mentioned the Impact - and one noted the CCL match at the big O!

Maybe they could have a game against the winners, or something - call it CANF (Coupe d'Atlantique Nord Francophone) maybe...

I'd love to see an exhibition game between maybe Guigwamp and L'Impact, maybe at the Stade Saputo before the real match?

Maybe the winner can play Olympique Marseille? :p

Really should include the Impact in some way because it would be great exposure for the club. Two matches at the Olympic in a year. Thats the way to build exposure!

It would be cool for France to include Montreal in a similar way that CONMEBOL includes clubs from Mexico. A way to build ties that span the globe and promote the game.
