Zé Roberto returns to the matchday squad after shaking off an ankle injury, but Heynckes sees little reason for wholesale changes compared to the team for Saturday’s 3-1 win in Cottbus. However, Franck Ribéry will resume his place in the starting line-up after coming on as a sub in the second half last weekend. “Of course he’ll start,” the coach confirmed.

Hamit Altintop could be deployed at right-back, as he was after Ribery’s introduction in Cottbus. “It’s certainly a possibility,” said Heynckes. Miroslav Klose, described by the boss as “impatient”, could be an option “if we need him. But I don’t want to change anything up front for now.” This means the resurgent Lukas Podolski will again go for goal alongside Luca Toni.

Butt probably in goal again. What is this resurgent nonsense with Podolski? The German press really are desperate to paint Poldi in a positive light aren't they? ZeRo and Klose are good options to have off the bench. If we start getting too one dimensional in our attack, I would bring ZeRo on for Sosa in the second half, and hopefully Ribery, ZeRo, and Schweini will have the freedom to roam across the pitch to open up more possibilities. Or if Altintop is struggling, move Lahm to the right, put ZeRo on the left, but under no circumstances do Oddo or Lahm play. And if Luca misses more than 5 attempts, take him off for Klose.

never had that problem as my classes never conflicted with bayern games and if the only time the class was offered is at a time where a bayern game is scheduled then it's an easy choice. never had a final at the same time as a bayern game so I can not tell you what to do or give you advice.
my only advice is don't ever schedule classes during the weekend or between 2pm and 5pm eastern time on wednesdays and tuesdays. easy.

back to the game. I don't care really about anything but a win.

Haven't you guys ever heard of a DVR? How about those of us who work, and almost never get to see a match live?

That's where the wonders of the information superhighway come into play.

I would love to be able to DVR matches, but my cable company is insane about adding the extra channels to get Gol TV and Fox Soccer Channel, let alone Setanta. I don't even think I can get Premiere here in the States.

Wassup GDS? Haven't seen you here in a bit....

I suck it up and pay the big bucks to get Gol, FSC and Setanta through Direct TV and justify it as it being less than attending one game per month. It's just worth it to me to be able to see the matches, either live or on DVR. Is it expensive? Yes....but it's not as expensive if I lived there and went to even one match a month.... Worth it in my opinion!

I would pay huge amounts of money for Premiere in the USA.

As it stands now you can get the Konferenz on Dish network by ordering the Prosieben Sat1 package ($30/month).

Yo dude!

I agree. It is not bad all things considered. Now that Philadelphia has an MLS club for 2010, I will need to look into broadcast options for that now too. Damn...

So is that some German sports package or what? I am interested in learning more. Dish just got my locals in HD, so all that is missing now is GOLTV or an alternative.
