I play in the "Only American guy in a crowd of foreign students" league, on Pale White Guy FC on the Towson Rec field. I'm the gimpy fella trying to figure out how to say "cross it!" in Portugese. :)

I played for a Bethesda team many, many years ago. We were the '71 team known as the Alliance. Graham Ramsay coached us.

I do referee a lot of tournaments around Maryland and will most likely be doing some state cup games this weekend -- I've been told I'll be reffing U-17 games but that's not confirmed yet.

Well first of all it is C. Ronaldo not to be confused with the fat bum with no hair and bad teeth. Second I play in U-15 and I think we may have shot at winning if we maintain focus and play the game we have before. As for nationals, I wouldn't get my hopes up...........

O yea I know Graham Ramsay, i think he is still coaching in bethesda isn't he? Maybe he is doing administration for bethesda or somethin cuz I certainly have heard of him.

Why do you have to bash Ronaldo like that?

why do you like ManU and Real Madrid? Pick one. Plus I think Ronaldo gets too much hype. Ronaldo is not even the best forward on that team. (in terms of completeness.)

He's coached a number of teams from the club, taking one to nationals recently (both years they were held at Germantown) as well as having taken earlier Bethesda teams to that level (including ours in 1990).

I am too old to play club ball these days but I played for many different clubs in my day BSU (Bowie), PSC(Pasadena), SCB(Soccer Club of Baltimore, before they just became the Bays), Severna Park, I guested for a few other teams here and there like SAC(Columbia). God knows how many indoor teams the best one though was Bulgaria Football Club we had a stock load of 82 and 83 ODP players including myself, Devin Barclay, Mike Della Russo, Kyle Beckerman and some other well known names in the area at the time.

I quit playing my Sr. year of high school due to disputes with my coach and burn out from playing on so many teams, I really lost out too because I threw away a lot of college oppertunities becasue of it.

I started playing again after like 2 years off when I started to coach, I finally decided to try my hand at JUCO and get to college ball/then maybe pro at some level that way since most of my contacts had moved away, I was playing this season @ CCBC and shattered my fibula dislocated & broke my ankle and ruptured my ankle ligiments.

Now I am coming back and I think I am just going to stick to playing Maryland Majors(top adult league in MD) and in my local amatuer leagues for outdoor, as well making my way up too SoccerDome, Myers and Du Burns for indoor.

thats awesome you played with barclay. He was coaching a few of my practices each month before he got traded to colombus. And to lilDelPiero: yes I am playing in hagerstown this weekend at 8:30 in the morning so i gotta wake up at like 5:30 to get there on time. (not looking forward to it) What team are you playing against at state cup?

I'm reffing two U-17 games in MD Cup tomorrow at Mitchellville and one U-15 game -- that one is between either Harford Balt. Pompei v Laplata Jr. Terps or GSPAA United v Baltimore United Sidekicks, I'm not sure exactly which field I'll be on.

Doesn't look like many people are playing tomorrow. CRonaldo7, I think your game might be off. This is on the MSYSA website this afternoon:

As of 1:30 pm on Friday, April 3rd, all games that are to be played at Hagerstown on Saturday, April 3rd are postponed until April 17th.

Please continue to check this website and your email for updated information about re-scheduling, and additional information. We will post information as soon as we can.

Thank you,

The MSYSA staff

Yea i found out when I got back from school. That is a real let down cuz there was a kid on the other team that wuldn't stop trash talking and I was ready for that to end. (We all know the best way to do that is by scoring in their face)
