Will he be with the Gecko?? That little guy represents all that's good about England. He's so well spoken, exudes class and manners. Can't forget he drinks tea and eats crumpets.

If my calculations are correct (they always are), Rooney is approximately 1.4314603x the player Tevez is, give or take.

It's disgusting how much hate there is in this thread, Carlitos is class.

I don't think there's any hate at all and that any poster here, bar Teso of course, that'd welcome him with open arms if he was to sign permanently.

Also since it looks like Tevez will not be staying there is an element of distancing oneself as well to soften the blow mentally if he leaves.

Kia on SSN... saying that Carlos is focused on finishing the season; that he will be able to choose where he wants to play - Italy, England, Spain - and that he doesn't know why he hasn't been offered a contract. i'm sure the video will be up on there soon.

also that the celebration was directed towards the "press box" since they were talking the week prior that he wasn't a "prolific goalscorer" so he wanted to show them.

Fergie. Does. Not. Want. Him.

It's not some kind of hardball tactic to get a better fee. Fergie just does not fancy him for another 20m+. Kevin McCarra captured it well:

Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't do requests. Old Trafford season-ticket holders understand that better than most yet on Sunday afternoon they still chanted "Fergie, Fergie, sign him up". That endorsement of Carlos Tevez was something on which they could focus during the 2-0 victory over a vapid Manchester City.

Ferguson's comment contrived to be both polite and, implicitly, withering. "The fans love a trier," he remarked. "A lad who tries a lot can be forgiven a lot." There was a subtle rebuke of supporters who imagine they know best and also an allusion to the striker's limitations.

Fergie wants more than a "trier". Tevez's fate was sealed as soon as we bought Berbatov, and Macheda made an impact.

If he goes to pool of shit I'll hate him forever.

Either way I don't get why you would want to leave the team that should be in the running for the domestic titles and CL for the rest of your career most likely.

I mean it's not like he's Nani, he gets a bunch of play time.

It's got nothing to do with him really. It's all about what we want to do and where that scumbag Kia tells him to go.

Tevez has little to no say on his movements since he is essentially owned by Joorabchian.

It is interesting that people keep saying he "wants to leave."

From most reports, he hasn't even been offered a contract! So of course Tevez wants to leave - he needs to find a new place to play football next year. If we actually wanted to hold onto the player, would we have waited until the last month of his contract to even open negotiations? Hell no. We'd have wrapped this up months ago.

Fergie just doesn't want him. His comments and actions say as much. So if we don't want him, and he wants to stay in England, then he will end up at one of our rivals. He is good enough to play for the top 4 and someone may take a punt on him. It's not his fault.

Meh, he wants to play for our rivals.

He's basicaly said he wants to leave no matter what, even if we do offer him a contract. If he wants to go and play 40 games a season for city rather than 30 games games for united, ******** him.

He's not been treated like shit by fergie at all. He's been given his chance, and the fact is, hes rarely taken that chance, yet hes still found himself with more minutes onm the pitch than berbatov or rooney. He should look at nani and then compare that to how well his seasons gone in comparison.

Hats off to nani btw about waht he said, about him wanting to improve, work harder and take his chances from now on. He's not gone on a hissy fit and asked to go to city or pool.

If he wants to go to a club who has ambition to be champions of england, europe, the world...such as city? Liverpool?...arsenal? Let him. Cos face it, Chelsea won't sign him.

Well, let's face it. If he was desperate to stay, he can take a wage cut of 2m (or so) on his 5m a year wage and the difference over his contract period would cover for any difference in valuations between us and Kia. Or, he could go on strike and refuse to play for any other club unless Kia reduced his valuation.

The thing is -- he wants us to play him top wages, play him in every game and also pay Kia what he wants. That ain't gonna happen.

Obviously, that doesn't preclude him from going somewhere else and becoming the best striker in the league (like Forlan has done). Based on what we have seen so far of him for us, it doesn't make any sense for us though to be desperate to keep him.

Or Fergie could be trying to make Kia think he's indifferent about Tevez staying to keep the price lower. We never really know.

Good points from both of you guys.

Either way, I'm not gonna shed tears or flip out if he leaves. He's been a great asset to this club over the last few years, and he has had a couple things up against him this season (or so it's perceived), but his overall tone seems slightly whinging as of late and we don't need any of that.

Hopefully he'll score us a couple more goals and then enjoy his career elsewhere.

I cannot believe Ferigie would say something like that. That quote was appalling. Fans Love a trier? Allows him to be forgiven? Since when has Ji Sung Kuyt experience the same adulation Tevez has for just trying and screwing up an attack more often than not? The fans love him because he performs. He not only busts his ass but he also creates chances and that makes him a match winner. Look at that match vs Fulham. He took his chances petition for a spot in the First XI. But no... That still wasn't good enough and he continued to ride the bench.

If he leaves I'll be gutted. But will be happy at the same time because wherever he goes he will be treated like a the Star Player that he is. There is a reason why there are more teams lining up for Tevez than for Benzema or Villa.

Tevez has Fourteen goals. Same as Berbatov in less starts.

Is your fellating of Tevez finished or do we have to wait for you to wipe up before you face facts regarding the situation.

We don't necessarily need Tevez. He's a good player yes but there's no need to get raped by Kia in order to sign a player we already own. Fergie obviously realizes this because of his comments. Maybe he wants to keep Tevez and is trying to get him for a lower price. Maybe he thinks we don't need him and can fill his place with Macheda, or by using ronal;do as striker and bringing in Ribery.

What I do know is if Fergie thinks he's no longer needed he's probably right.
