Looks like Coleman is looking for a new striker this summer

...ON TRAINING AFTER CHELSEA
We've worked hard on the Training Ground this week after the game against Chelsea but to be fair to the guys we work hard every week. Of course I've said to them how disappointed I was at the way we performed against Chelsea. We were lackluster and too many of my players under-performed. I know I singled out Steed and gave him a bit of stick but it wasn't just him, it was five or six who disappointed. Bearing in mind what our away form has been like Saturday's game is a good opportunity for us to get a good result and put in a good performance away from home, which is what we'll be looking for.
...ON INJURIES
We've picked up a few injuries this week. Lee Clark isn't available for Saturday, he's still recovering from his calf injury. Bobby Petta is also not available as he's hurt his groin. Sylvain Legwinski also has a very badly bruised bone in his foot so is out for Saturday but he should be fine for the week after. Ian Pearce hurt his ankle but he should be available. Collins John hurt his hamstring in training so he's not available and Mark Crossley is still recovering from his back. But we've still got more than enough to go to Man City and get a result.
...ON CHELSEA
We just didn't create any chances. We had one free kick and that was the only shot on goal that I can remember. Offensively we were poor and I thought they were there for the taking. Unfortunately for us we just weren't good enough on the day to beat them.
...ON REST OF SEASON
We're in to the last nine games now and we need a big push. We need to finish as high as we can and the best the Club has ever done before is 10th in the League so if we can do better than that it would be great. If we finish outside of the top ten then it would be a disappointment so we have got to keep churning results out and putting performances in because there is a lot to play for. I think that that fourth position is really now for Liverpool and Newcastle to fight over but outside of that there are three or four clubs with only three or four points between them, so it's very close. If you can string a few games together then you're right back in there and we're close to that pack but we need to get results.
...ON KEEPING THE MOMENTUM GOING
The bottom line is that the motivation has to come from within the individual and if they're not motivated themselves then it doesn't matter what I say. I can help them along the way but it has to come from within and to be fair to the players, more often than not, they haven't disappointed us this season. We've just got to keep pushing forward and make sure that we don't allow things to fizzle out.
...ON MANCHESTER CITY & AWAY FORM
I went to watch Manchester City play Leeds on Monday night and although they lost they played very well - they're a good team, especially going forward. They have some very exciting players and I thought they should have beaten Leeds. So it's a massive game for us and it'll be a harder game than the one against Chelsea, I'm sure of that. They're desperate for points and I know Kevin Keegan, I know what he'll be telling the team and they're going to come for us and it'll be hard. They know they're in a relegation dog fight and we need to match their fight.
...ON TAKING ON KEEGAN
I'll shake hands with Kevin and we'll have a chat after the game but that's where it starts and finishes. I'm not the kind of person who looks to put one up on his old manager. I'm looking at another win for Fulham against a tough Man City team. I've already said publicly what I think of Kevin Keegan, I had a great time playing under him and he's a good man but on Saturday we'll be going up there to get three points for Fulham and that's it.
...ON REMAINING AWAY GAMES
We're playing against teams who are fighting for their lives - we've got Portsmouth and Leicester away and Man City on Saturday - so they're all tough games. Mind you they're all tough no matter who you're playing, home or away. It's just that our away form has been poor and at least we have four opportunities left now to put that right because it will be disappointing if we finish the season with only three wins away from home.
...ON THE SUMMER
I will have money to spend in the summer and I will be looking to bring people in. My priority will be a striker and I'll try and bring in one or two other players who I have my eye on as well. But in the summer I'll have six or so weeks to prepare, so hopefully I'll be able to get the people that I want.
