Let's see if the league has the stones to ban Kobe a game. That was a throat shot, and any other player would have been tossed immediately. People are saying that Artest kinda "relapsed" back to his old ways last night - f**k that. He got popped in the throat, what was he supposed to do, just stroll on?
Don't think Stu Jackson or the league has the balls.

Yeah I doubt the league would suspend Kobe. They have to appease the Fakers fan base. That being said, I wish my boy Artest had knocked Kobe's bitch-ass out. :D

Already, the line we're gonna get from the league seems to be that Kobe hit Artest below the shoulder line, right above the R on the ROCKETS of the jersey.
I think Derek Fisher will get popped with another game as well - wouldn't be the worst thing for the Lakers, considering that he's been playing pretty poorly.

Your Queens inferiority complex did not become clear at all in that post. Well done for totally and completely avoiding that.

:D. Gotta admit though that was some BS. I thought Artest would have slapped him in the face. I actually commend him for not getting himself in further trouble besides being ejected.

Can we make up some new LeBron rules? Like, I dunno. He's not allowed to jump off both feet anymore? Perhaps force him to shoot leftie? Oh and no more no look/look away passes.
LeBron amazed me last night. Not any one thing that he did mind you, the totality of his play.
40ft jumper among a couple threes. A sick reverse and the oop with his dunks. The top of the key wrist pass past 2 defenders combined with the behind the back bounce pass to Wally in flight. 4 steals etc. He is just so complete. It is scary.

If LeBron has finally put it all together then all I have to say is this: It's about time. With his physical gifts he should be the most dominant player in the league at all times.

LeBron was just unbelievable last night. Some credit to his teammates as well, who are now starting to understand what they have in him - that game last night looked like an exhibition, a playground stroll, not a 2nd round NBA playoff game.
He is unreal. They ought to tear through the East, and have to feel good about their title chances.

You make it seem as though he was not mentally strong or that he is just a brute. Physique is definitely an advantage of his, but he's one of the most mentally prepared players in the game. When he came to the league he didn't even have a J to speak of. Now he's raining down jumpers like nobody's business.

It was entirely too easy for the Cavs. The thing is, I think they'll sweep the series and probably win by a combined margin of over 100.
His court vision last night was sick. The one pass he made after he drove, spun and then elevated, was out of this world. It also appears that Wally is back to his old self. That, is bad news for 2nd units in this league :D

Tell you what, when he hit that 40 foot three right before the halftime buzzer and just stood there?
Cantona-esque. That was awesome.

What are you on about? My opinion is that this is the first season in which he is playing up to his ability. His performance in the playoffs last season was shameful for someone so gifted. There is no reason that he shouldn't be unstoppable, and he may just be at that level now.

Indeed, it was. The thing about it is that he could so easily have shot a regulation three-pointer based on the time left on the clock. He elected not to though. And banged in one from tomorrow.

His performance in one series, was well below par, but it was not shameful - for anyone. He still contributed. People see LeBron only as a scorer and match him up against scorers, but LeBron is the best scorer, best passer and 2nd best defender on his team. He's relied on for leadership as well. All of that at 23-24 and you expect him to be infallible? That's a bit much. This year his jumper has been much better, I think a bit of that comes down to him having more space because he's got shooters on his team now. He's not been a perimeter player really (he's become more of one this year though) and if you look at the treatment he got against the Celtics (it was the Cs right?) last year you'll see that they forced him to be a jump shooter, away from his strengths. Now he's quick, but very very few players can dominate double teams from the perimeter.
I think you'll find that if his teammates had hit their shots, the Cavs probably would have won the series and he wouldn't have been called on to shoot so much.

This is really the coming of age year for LBJ. He's finally developed a jumper, and his defense is now like 3rd in the league behind Kobe and D-Howard.

To be fair, he was still only 23 last year. Amazingly, I don't think a lot of people realize just how ridiculous a year he is having. It is arguably the best single season anyone has ever had out side of Michael/Wilt. It is crazy to think he may be at this level (or above) for the next 10 years.

2nd best defender on his team? Try in the league.

His defense is better than Kobe's. Kobe's defense (well, Kobe in general) is over-rated.

wade!!!!! the best player in the NBA by far and thats why he was the scoring leader. All the team needs is a big guy and the heat will be back in the top.

Still doesn't hide the fact that they made you look pretty dumb. The team with the home court was always going to win.

The team that made a run in the first qt would win the game and the heat could not comeback in the 7th game. Amare to the heat please Riley. You have to give Wade credit for such a young team to the playoffs along with a rookie coach and the hawks are not that bad and I think the celtics would agree with that.
