Won't do that! We could have USL soccer at Lansdowne, and CFL football. We would be shooting ourselves in the foot... (any soccer fan anyways).

We already have USL (PDL at least) with the Fury. Personally I want MLS.

There is a huge difference between PDL and Div 1. I would want MLS too, but it ain't happening anytime soon. Besides, nuking Lansdowne doesn't make us any closer to MLS. Rumor is the western councilors will trade a yes vote to lansdowne for a yes vote of the central and east councilor to Kanata later...

There is a huge difference between PDL and Div 1. I would want MLS too, but it ain't happening anytime soon. Besides, nuking Lansdowne doesn't make us any closer to MLS. There is a sign ificant difference between USL 1 and MLS too, and it will only get bigger as Vancouver, Portand etc make the move.
I think nuking Lansdowne brings us one huge step closer to MLS.
Where did you hear that rumour? It sounds really, really unlikely to me. The central councilors were the main group that voted against Lansdowne, and maybe I'm wrong but I don't see any councilors voting to build a second stadium in Ottawa any time soon.
