I thought this deserved its own thread as it is such a big match. For some reason I feel pretty confident about this one. I think we'll go through and win fairly comfortably.

My bold prediction LFC 3 O'M 1

Owen with a brace (32, 57)
Gerrard (83)

Drogba (62)

4-2 on aggregate.

Unfortunately, I will be at the hospital getting the results of an MRI during the match, and then my wife is leaving for a year to go to Afghanistan, so I'll miss the match.

Red knight I'll go along but I think Biscan may play over Henchoz and i'd play Baros over Heskey.

Ditto to the best wishes to LF and to Ms LF in a dangerous place!

Good luck on you MRI. Sorry about your wife leaving for Afghanistan. Hope it's a good thing. My buddy returned home from there just last week. so we hoisted a few Newcastle Browns to celebrate.

I don't know if anyone is up for comms today, if not you can usually get a text report on BBC Radio Five Live web. It's updated every 2 minutes. You have to weave your way through their site to find it.

I usually have 2 pages going one for comms and one for 5 live.

--Dr. Henchoz, DDS--

Just because quality like this is expected on the Liverpool boards doesn't mean it should go uncommented upon. Nicely done.

usscouse, I'd be up for it, but after about 15 more minutes, I'm away from my computer for most of the rest of the afternoon, alas. If someone does them, I'll appreciatively read the later, of course.

LF: best of luck with the MRI in the short-term and the long-distance marriage in the longer term.

Alright, alright, alright...let's hope the boys silence all 60K of the "real fans" and get past this big hurdle. I'd expect we're going to go with some experience in the starting eleven, so I'm gonna agree with the general consensus that is RedKnight's lineup...

Good luck, LF...that's some tough stuff...

Thanks; just trying to live up to expectations, of course. Doctor.

Actually, it turns out that the Doctor will not be in today, at least not right away. The Teamsheet is in:

Dudek

Carragher
Biscan
Hyypia
Riise

Murphy
Hamann
Gerrard
Kewell

Owen
Heskey

Subs: Luzi, Dr. H, Traore, Diouf, Cheyrou, Baros, FSP

Conference call will interfere with my doing comms, but I'll try to chime in on occasion. Who has "Rowan duty" for this match?

LFC not wearing "Carlsberg" on their shirts due to French anti-brewery laws, or something.

Marseilles playing a defensive formation. LFC playing without "Carlsberg" on their shirt, because you can't advertise breweries in France. I guess because beer is inherently inferior to French wine.

Crowd getting on LFC at every opportunity.

Drogba gets away from Biscan but Dudek gets to it first.

Barthez clattered by Beye, his own guy, and he's gone down injured.

Hunter saying that OM crowd even more hostile than Galatasaray.
